Hello. I have a 3.0 experimental server up and running. We have ZOMBIE DIGGING: NO as the option set. We founded a base inside a mine PoI and built a horde base above ground on top of it. During our first BM zombies bypassed our horde base completely and started to dig into our base.

Now admittedly I am running some mods. Those being the following:
Izayo Weapon pack
Atmospheric Weather
Chickencoop mod
Craft from containers
Crunchys gun sounds
Zombie classic reimagined
FLogis Perk mod
Kitsune Kitchen
Better Biones
Urban Decay
Wraiths Backpack
ZZPerkMastery
ZZTON Prefabs

Any help is appreciated as I was really excited to return to underground bases.

Reproduction Steps

I would suggest first trying a game without any mods and see if they dig. Most mods aren't updated for 3.0 yet, and there's a good chance at least some of those aren't. That can cause all kinds of weird bugs.

I will certainly do so, all these mods are in fact marked for 3.0 however. I made sure to only use those that are such. I have found another 2 threads on the steam forums with same issue and atleast one has no mods.

No problem. Just thought I'd suggest it. I'm actually surprised if Izayo's mod was updated already. It usually isn't updated during experimental. Sometimes those "3.0" tags aren't accurate and I recall someone saying they were using stuff that was all marked as being 3.0 only to find out that most weren't updated for 3.0 yet. Personally, I'd check the descriptions or comments from the mod authors to see if it's updated (also check the last updated date) rather than relying on the 3.0 tags. Either way, it may not have anything to do with mods. I just haven't seen anything about it not working and I'd have expected that to be something people would be testing and commenting on here if it didn't work, but maybe not.

Definitely. Another author got the okay to port it to exp. I wonder if it's also possibly the new poi mod. Maybe custom pois don't have a certain flag but who knows. Thanks for your help!

I'm curious... were they digging down or digging straight into the side of a hill/mountain? I haven't tested the no digging option. It might mean not digging down, but still allow digging straight. After all, you could just carry around a lot of dirt and block zombies anytime you wanted if they can't dig straight.

Both. They intially started digging into a side wall (dirt wall) but then got above us (we were in a tunnel below) and they went straight down.

Maybe they are allowed to dig anywhere within a POI. No idea. Probably a bug, but even if it isn't the setting should be very clear about what it covers.

PERHAPS it is a server setting.. not sure how you search to filter out those servers. i thought they fell thru the ground (where i had made a steel floor) but digging down to repair was a complex of tunnels under my base that had a path to 20 or so blocks outside my base i dont know if they dug in or out.. but .. this could hve meant base collapse..

Turning digging off should just stop them from digging down, according to the tooltip for it. Woodle tested it earlier in 3.0.0 and they didn't seem to dig down at all, but not saying there isn't issues with it.1782478553294.png

Ah, so it does state that. I hadn't read the tooltip since I don't care about them digging. That makes it clear, then. That's good. But if there is evidence of them digging down still, that should be looked into.

Hello DSWBeef,

currently the No Digging prevents zombies from attacking any blocks below their feet.
If terrain is uneven there is still a possibility for them to destroy blocks that we would consider floor terrain.
I'll check with the team if this behaviour is as intened.

Best,
Revi
