So why is it the vultures think you are a grub hub delivery guy, (or gal), and attack you if you are on a bicyle, but are at full health?

I've had the birds cirlce for hours on end, (okay, okay), minutes on end, and never attack until I hit that hidden land mine or break my leg from a blind cliff.

But hop on a bicyle, and it's like you are ringing the dinner bell telling them it's an all you can eat buffet.

ALL VULTURES MUST DIE!! (ok die AGAIN.. seeing as they are already dead :p )

They seem to know that you have to stop your vehicle, get out and in that time, they hope to get an attack in (which has a high Probability of causing "Bleed"

I love to pop those damned things out of the air and watch them fall or watch them go skidding across the roof when I catch them "sleeping".

If I could, I would gather the scrawny little buggers and mount them on the Spikes outside my base :p

Vultures feel ripped off if their dinner tries to drive off at high speed. They thought they had a deal with you.

It could be my imagination but it seems like Vultures swoop more when I have a ranged weapon and fly away more if I have a melee weapon equiped.

Holding down shift gives a small boost which is useful to evade vultures for a bit, zigzagging can also save you from their attack pattern. Bleeding is ridiculous especially when you are head to toe in armour. Those damned roofs are the worst, i almost always forget only to have 5 squawking birds tearing at me!

Yeah, I've trained myself to recognize those lumps as sleeping vultures. Fortunately they announce themselves when chasing you on a vehicle, so if on a bicycle you can hear them easy. Motorcycles are a different story, but as long as you watch for shadows, you are golden. Hop off equip a club and swing like the Babe.

I have to say the dog and grooming stores are my fav right now, just wish there were more Pass N Gas stations so I can farm my gyrocopter frame. (to cheap to fork out the 150 steel, I've got everything else to build one tho....)

Was driving back to base in the 4x4, with 20 something hit points left (dog attack). From one end of a biome to the next, this vulture was nonstop dive-bombing the vehicle. We stopped the truck and put it out of its misery. I usually try to kill a vulture as soon as I see it, those buggers just don't give up.

You'd think someone would think of welding some scrap plate on the 4x4 to make stupid roof.

Seriously, what do you find on your own car roof all to often? you want that on your seats?

ewwwww!

While you can get bicycles very early, and 4x4s are fun and have the largest payload, stick with motorcycles. On a motorcycle you can safely ignore vultures and they will give up chasing you.

-Morloc

+1 for morloc the motorbike is easily the best, most manouverable, most fun, least damaged vehicle in the game (never having had a gyro) and vultures are not a problem.
