Zombie Skins

I've seen a lot of mods that add new zombies into the game or modify the behaviors of existing ones.   Is it possible to simply re-skin/change the default look of the zombies?

I've even downloaded a couple mods that add zombies and don't really see anywhere they've added resources for the textures of the added zombies so any help would be appreciated!
