PC Zombie loot - negative economic review

What up, my brother from another mother! I agree with everything you said.
I thought I would hate zombies not dropping loot, too. 30+ hours into A17 and the state of the loot game is better than its even been.
I also agree. I originally thought I wasn't going to like this change, but I'm having flashback to my group's horde nights where'd we'd have to clean up many dozens of corpses before we could begin repairs--and getting a ridiculous amount of junk. The current system is so much better in this regard.

Don't miss the corpse blocks and loot "less" drops from zombies at all, one of the biggest breaths of fresh air ever in this game. Always felt compelled to loot every, single, damn, corpse because I just knew the one I didn't loot would have the best crap on it to make up for the tens of thousands I looted with a sham sandwhich or worse on their corpse. No thank you, good riddance to a horrible system.

Why do you need loot anymore anyway just buy the crap you need from the trader and call it a day? Don't have to craft anything but schematics and vehicles now since mostly everything is lootable from PoI's or bought directly from the trader. Didn't build my first forge till level 50 or so on day 12 just because I wanted to start working on things I needed to light my base up at night, well into end game with more than enough supplies on hand to last me several post apocalypses in safety and relative wealth, didn't have to loot a single zed for any of that, well except the handfullthat dropped a banana bag for me, nice stuff in those sometimes. One less time eating annoying feature down, several dozen to go!

Zombies still drop loot, it's just a lot rarer but better.
Just an example. Killed about 50-60 zombies that dropped 2 bags total. One bag had 1 cornmeal and tuna can, other had 6 crossbow bolts. Lv 50 player. Had better loot on some attempts. I guess modding is the answer to those that don't enjoy it like me. But it could be better for vanilla, imho.

Well Rest got this first but I’ll just add that infinite delivery boys giving constant free goods forever is too much of a fantasy “economy system” than even my imagination can compensate for...
You should be able to easily increase the percentage and approach infinitity once again if that is your wish.

Of course as a case for escapism therapy from the cold uncaring economies of real life it may have some merit. How would life be different if I could quit my job and have endless hordes bring me Sham Sandwiches galore?

Probably more vomiting....
But isn't it honestly more about a performance fix than any feelilngs over loot. Isnt' it?
