Zombie Distraction

Was just loading up a new game and noticed a tip on the loading screen suggesting you distract Zeds by tossing a rock or snowball for them to go check out.

Had no idea you could even do that. Pretty cool. Makes me wonder what other little things like that I may be missing.

Well, you could always start a map, while its loading, scroll through the tips, log out and redo it till you get through all of the tips.

Tried it out, had 3 Zeds in the area, including a Frostclaw. Chucked a couple rocks behind them not realizing where I was throwing them.

All 3 went to check out the noise and wandered right into a military fort littered with land mines. Explosion goes off, all 3 are toast. Friggin dope!

Don't feel bad I've played and modded for years and never realized Joel was a Traitor, Or that there
was a lever action rifle in game until this year. I first realized the decoy ability when I tried to bust a
zombie in the head with a rock and missed.

Oh yeah. Being able to throw rocks, especially in the early game, is super useful. Bonus points if you have some mollies handy. Toss a rock and gather a handful of zombies and toss it. Fun to watch them run around and burn.

I wonder if throwing a snowball at a zombie does damage to them?

We used to use thrown rocks to collect zombies together then toast the group with a molotov. Great fun.
