Zombie counts not increasing? 2.3 experimental

Is anyone else experiencing this? When I'm doing the bio challenge to kill a set amount of zeds in the bioms, the counter gets stuck when I'm killing the normal zed types. When in the biom, it seems to get to 5 kills, then stops. I then have to log out and verify the files to get it to work, but it doesn't always work.

Which biome is this for? Do you have any other biomes completed? Is this a game continued from a previous save or newly created in experimental? Do you also play with mods?
