Zombie/Animal footsteps

Would be nice if we could hear the footsteps better or the zombies making more noise like they used to back on the legacy version (not sure what alpha that was on PC back then). Had a zombie bear sneak up and destroyed me before I could even react to the situation.

You should be able to, that was one of the background things that was done. Can
you hear when the rabbit or chicken skitters through the brush?

For you pc if you go to sounds.xml

Search for bear, you should see this line

<Noise ID="1" noise="7" time="3" muffled_when_crouched="0.5"/>
Make a copy of your config folder for just in case, Highlight the above line

Then paste the line below to see if it helps raise it to a good level for you
<Noise ID="2" noise="11" time="2" muffled_when_crouched="0.8"/>

The reason I asked, is because I use headphones, and I didn't know if you had remote speakers
hooked in. It made me think that since the bear paw sound is low Hz, that if you adjust you low
bandwidth on your equalizer, it may bring it into audible range.
If what I read is right, you have a 10 band eq in your, control panel. I have mine boosted on my pc
that may be why I can hear it more clearly.

TV speakers, but my speakers are those dolby 5.1 or something like that. Plus I'm playing on my PS5, i'll have to look and see if there is some kind of any equalizer setting on my either my tv or my console.

Don't laugh, I was checking online,
It says ps button on controller, to sound option, to eq then custom set it as a profile.
I hope it is right and works
