Even in the old armor system where the resistance were split, I never had to change any of that stuff once I had the "BiS" setup. BDU pants and shirt + college jacket plus a cowboy hat mod. Think with one or two insulation mods in armor I was basically immune to heat and cold.
Not saying the new system is outright better. It's miserable going to the snow biome if you're maining agility as a stat since you don't want to have a burning shaft with any weapons.
Would be nifty if some of the armor sets had inherent heat/cold resist on some of the pieces or something.
