Yesterday I was tempted to use the ladder to climb to the top of a gas station to see what was up there.

It looked just like the one we use all the time. There was even a dumpster at the bottom.

But I don't usually bring my guns with me to the gym and wasn't prepared to deal with the zombies on the roof.
 
bring a bale of hay with you and plop it down for a quick escape, just make sure its not touching the ladder or you'll break a leg. Not sure if that bug ever got fixed. I used to put a bale at the bottom of my bedrock bases for a fast descent and noticed if there was no space between the ladder and the bale I would get injured.

Interesting, but I can rationalize midflight adjustments to hit the bale and getting foot caught on last step :).

that is an interesting idea. this is even with a straight pit 1 wide no adjustment needed.

what is kind funny is you can jump off a ladder and jump back on 30 blocks later and take no damage but it should rip your arms out of their sockets or at the very least mangle your ankles lol
