XML edit for floating block

Hi all, I just wanted to know if I made a new block in xml blocks file and have it 0 weight, would it allow me to have floating block in the game ?

 
That's a negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full...

I honestly don't know if it would work but worth a shot. The game uses physics to an extent so not sure it would actually work.

I think Weight is an attribute that lets the game know whether its scrappable or not. Maybe you would have more luck with StabilitySupport?

 
If you want a block to appear to float then make a new block by copying the air block but give the copy stability support but no collisons. Put that block under the block you want to look like it is floating.

 
I confused weight with mass as I was thinking of materials.xml not blocks.

I see weight in blocks on only a few items, but there is no explanation of its purpose. Only something that doesn't seem related.

Forge weight: We have auto-scaling based on resources IF there is a recipe for the block. Gazz -->
