Windows Xbox controller on pc

I am trying to use xbox controller on a pc. It works, but some of the functionality is poor. Spinning/turning while trying to aim, whether it hebat an enemy or just at something i want to pick up/open is difficult. I overshoot the aim and have to go back and forth before i zero in on it. And once i have a storage opened it takes FOREVER to move curdor to the item i want. Been playing this for over 2000 hours according to my daughter who looked up my stats once.
Does anyone know the sweet spot for controller settings that will fix this?
 
I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to using controllers for this game, but if you right click 7 Days in Steam > Properties > Controller and enable Steam Input it might fix your problem.
