Would EAC ban me for entering a server with modified config files

As title, I've done a few edits to some config xml files and was about to join a server which has EAC enabled, but was worried it may get me banned. Would it?

Also bonus question: Do EAC bans follow you? If so do they follow you across games?

 
No it wouldn't. The config will get sent to you from the server.

EAC would ban if you were using a hacked DLL or were injecting code into memory to force change values. EAC bans are per-game as far as I am aware.
