Why steroids and not adrenaline?

Right, but it can be used as treatment in-game. I guess my inner medic build is looking at it.
Devs are running out of ways to name and use pharmaceuticals, I think. ;) Just taking your vitamins will prevent the zombie infection in 7 Days, but prescription antibiotics are required for that in VEIN. Steroids (or Buffout) might provide a boost in strength and combat effectiveness, but adrenaline would provide a boost of speed and agility. That sort of thing.

It's purported brand names the creators of Fallout came up with as opposed to simply what they are in a generic sense. I think they were trying to drive home the whole "public-private partnership" thing going on prewar there.

As an alternative, adrenaline could be incorporated in the generic playthrough
Associated with, the threat level activity, load encumbrance and recovery. So
each encounter throughout game play could be different, depending on how
a player invested their points.
