Windows Why is there no cloud save?

I never understood why every time I played the game on another PC other than my main one my saves were never there, for some reason the game doesn't seem to have cloud saves. The solution I found for this was to save my save folders on a pendrive and manually transfer them to another PC.I would like to know if this is a bug or if the devs are working to change this, it is annoying having to do this process every time I play on a different PC. I apologize for my English, I'm a Brazilian player who loves this game and I recently discovered this page so I'll communicate in the only language I see everyone communicating in here.
 
I vaguely recall this has come up before. My memory is probably faulty, so I hope somebody more knowledgable replies.

IIRC, either the size of the saves was too big or there was a Steam issue. Maybe the Steam issue was the size of the saves? You would have to save the map too, right?

If you have another storage drive, you can use File History from Windows to automatically backup and save your files/directories. The game's saves are just too big for Steam Cloud.
 
I didn't know the files were so large, this Windows backup solution would be for if I had a dual boot, right? In this case, the problem was that sometimes I'm not on my main PC. When I'm not at home I use my brother's laptop. But thanks for the quick response guys.

File History does require a second drive that isn't your boot drive, doesn't require any dual booting. What it does is it incrementally saves the states your files are in, so you can grab last Tuesday's version of your files if you wish, for example. You will need to manually add the save folder for 7 days (do not do your entire appdata, unless you have a gigantic drive lol). If you wish to be able to move the saves between systems, that probably wouldn't work out very well, I suggest using an external SSD for that (or, hook up one to your router and copy/paste them over to it, so you can access it on all your devices).
