PC Why A17 matches more than my expectations

My friends and I are on max difficulty on a17 .... talk about a serious challenge. I love all of it with exception to the bloom moon locking up the server, something is coded wrong there but outside of that I think the changes and new things in a17 are great.

You realise that once everyone becomes familiar with the mini-dungeon POIs, they will just nerd-pole up to the roof (or wherever), and dig straight into the "treasure room", by-passing all the content that TFP spent a year devising?
I feel the POI mini-dungeons is a pointless and very over-done mechanic. How I long for "vanilla" house I can loot quickly and normally.
Oh I couldn't disagree more. I love them.

Just an update:

Still running around, even far from my base (day 7, horde night) looting and gathering, inside and outside houses (no bad/strange spawns seen for now).

Grinded a full wandering horde a second after leveling up.. all melee.

Random gen is great, even if i never see desert/snow biome i really appreciate the terrain.

A simple wood cube for the night is working great, but i really love the fact that if i TRY to go out zombies will see me in no time.

I feel the danger 100% now.

Wolves are really OP at early levels, but if you manage to get a z in the middle.. you got free meat and 700 easy xp :)

Hunting rabbits with the fixed bow aim is really funny :D oneshotted 1 that jumped in the middle of the road from the grass.. nom nom nom

I left the big shamway exploration cause i wanted to stack more fresh food and xp, i'm waiting to "feel" the gamestage problem when zombies starts to get though (for now bloated walkers are the only "problem", with a gun dogs are zero).

No big problems of balancing for now, still having fun.. but ill play more this evening.

another note:

2-3 guns, nothing more.. i wonder where the f# all you guys find that guns!!!
