PC Which developer thought this was fun

Just curious who in the development team thought that this game is fun? Is the person who brought up the idea of the logic defying vultures still employed? If so, why? I actually feel bad about myself for re-buying this. I used to spend hours and hours...probably close to thousands. Now I'd give just about anything to go back in time 3 days and tell myself, hey they figured out a way to somehow make the game worse so save your money, go do literally anything else. Hell a vasectomy sounds more enjoyable than loading up another minute of your game. I'm not really interested in any comments unless it's actually from the development team,  other than that your opinion is meaningless to me. Others are allowed to like the game and I'm allowed to think they're not very bright for doing so.

Yeah, you're allowed to have an opinion. That's fair. This game isn't for everybody and it sucks that you feel like you wasted your money.

However, if you really want an honest conversation with the devs, maybe don't start by insulting them? It's entirely possible to voice your opinion in a more civil way.

I like the free feather delivery system.  oh plus the rotten meat for hobo stews and bones for glue.  Super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Yeah, that is why I didn't mod them out of POIs, hordes and other planned encounters. When I am trying to get from point A to B in the desert though, they are annoying AF. Bones are glue, glue is duct tape, duct tape is life.

I hate vultures, but they are part of the game so I am not going to mod them out.  Usually I can outrun them if I am on a vehicle other than the bike, so I'll either do that or swerve enough to cause them to back off a little and then hop off and spear them.  Annoying, but I prefer dealing with them than removing them just because they are annoying.

As far as the OP... You are posting to a forum and don't get to tell people you don't want replies.  It doesn't work that way.  You say you have played for maybe thousands of hours and you bought the game twice.  If that is true (probably not because who would buy it twice or play it that much if they didn't like it?), then that is on you.  If you didn't like the game before, you shouldn't buy it again.  At least, not without researching it to see if any changes were made that would make you like it.  If you didn't do that, it isn't anyone's fault but your own.

This seems more a troll than a legitimate post.  There is nothing wrong with not liking the game, and there isn't anything wrong with liking it.  This is one of the most played games on Steam, so obviously a lot of players like the game.  Just because you don't like the game doesn't mean the game is bad.

If your health is within 10 hp of max they leave you alone. Just top off your health with a bandage before entering the desert if need be. I don't see where the annoyance of them existing in the desert is if all they do is circle above and do nothing else. Perhaps you've been modding them out since the days when they auto-attacked any vehicle? That's been removed for ages now.

Oh @%$#! For real??? When was that done?

Yeah, that is completely tolerable, and really I would rather have them all things considered, since the game is so empty as it is.

Thank you so much for pointing that out Roland.

I really try to check my mods for redundancy in new versions but sometimes it is easy to miss changes.

I can't remember but before Alpha 20 at least.
Hmmm....I looked back and I was @%$#ing about it in A21 still, or at least that I had to figure out the new entitygroups.xml format, since it changed a lot that version.

I was on a big kick of getting rid of mobs that annoy me at one point. Spiders are another personal peeve of me. I hate things that move in a fast erratic fashion, and the noises they make are like fingers down a chalkboard.

If you reach out and hug the vultures with any weapon in your hand they usually die.  Imagine if there were feral wight vultures?  Or maybe have ones that also spit radiation!  :D

I know vultures didn't attack if you were full health every since I started playing in A20 except if you bothered them or they were part of a POI.

Oh, they used to be like the cliff racers in Morrowind. Not really a threat, just extremely annoying.

If you have above 95% health, vultures in the wild leave you alone, plus, walking backwards and they can't hit you and are easy to melee
