Where to edit number of mod slots in vehicles?

Can someone tell me where to edit the number of mod slots in vehicles? Vehicles already were limited on what you could install for mods and now that there are storage mods, there is even less room for stuff. I want to bump them up to 6 slots. Thanks.

Thank you. Not sure why I didn't think to look in items.xml. :)

Wrote the mod and tested it and it works perfectly. 6 slots does slightly cut off the bottom slot by the toolbelt, but that's minor and since it's not a mod I'm sharing, it doesn't need to look perfect. Oddly, the 4x4 uses an effect_group called "main", but all the other vehicles use the vehicleMotorcyclePlaceable format for it (with the different vehicle names). Had to go back and fix that since I assumed they were all the same format. Lol! Not the first place I've seen things not follow the normal format. Too many people with their hands in the pot. ;)

One other question... is it possible to edit the distance a light can be seen? I looked at spotlights in the blocks.xml and nothing there relates to brightness. I do see "bright" as a property in vehicles.xml for the headlight, but searching for "bright" in blocks.xml has zero results and might not even relate to how far you can see the light anyhow.

Basically, I want to make a special light that can be seen from a longer distance to use for runway lights. No vanilla lights can be seen until you're extremely close in the gyro, which basically makes it pointless to place runway lights.

I'm pretty shure there is not yet a way implemented to edit the light distances via XML. It is handled in the Assembly-CSharp.dll for all lights. There had been Mods for older versions:

Both methods were changing the light distances for all lights in global, not being possible to only change it for specific lights.

I'm not familar with (re)compiling DLLs, so I couldn't update the mod to the current version. And the modders on Nexus sadly won't help out. If someone is capable of doing this, I can sent him the mod or even he can assist me.

Interesting. It sounds like a different kind of light. That is, one that can be seen from a long way away but that you don't really want it to illuminate anything. I want to think the game has focused on lights that illuminate and restricting their range and brightness matters for performance. But in this case you would want the light to figure into the Imposter.
