PC where is feral AI option?

This game is way too easy... where is the feral AI option? I read that there was a way to have the zombies always know where you are, how do I turn that on? I don't see it in my options. Does it work during the day or only at night? Is there any way to remove the damn traders, the game is easy enough without having these Wal-Marts everywhere.

Why are the designers making this game easier? Houses used to have zombies in them, but now they are all asleep and you can just kill every single one of them cuz they just stand or sit there.

Also is there a way to disable experience gain from mining? And stop having ore drop from rocks? Game is just way too easy, needs some options to turn this stuff off.

not for me, i got difficulty level, daylight length, etc, but nothing about ferals

...that got removed? Neat. Ok, rumor has it that local games still read from the serverconfig.xml file.

 
Sounds like you need to play a mod, or mod the xmls yourself to get the game you want.

I'll point out that you aren't required to use the traders, or mine, or sneak up on the sleepers. If you just want a head-bashin' good time, stand in the middle of the street in a wasteland city, surrounded by torches, campfires, and forges, and have at it :smile-new: .

Lots of these elements that you mention are actually kind of vital for players that don't do small building to scrape by. I noticed in my YouTubing of this game that a lot of players tend to try to get resources from the surface and from exploration a lot more than I do, but they also only tend to build structures that are only intended to allow them to survive. I play on insane and tend to build extremely large structures, so having all of those ores is absolutely vital for me, and I tend to end up digging far more than just excavation needs. Like the other responses say, you should mod your XML files, as they are easy to change and will probably give you exactly what you're looking for. You can simply change your playstyle so that you are forced to take zombies head-on, which is difficult if they're running during the day and you have to handle more than one at once. I get that you can just react based on which animation they're designated, but that doesn't mean that you can flawlessly execute the perfect response every time you react to your zeds (if you could, this game is probably just not meant for you anymore and you should probably just pursue some MLG career).

You don't HAVE to keep the resources you dig, you don't HAVE to use traders, you don't HAVE to sneak around, you don't HAVE to wear armor, and you don't HAVE to use weapons. These things all help you greatly, but if you're looking for a challenge, there's a point where that's determined by how much you challenge yourself before you are really just looking for a perversion of the game itself (which there is nothing wrong with if you're wanting that). However, if you can't clarify exactly what you're looking for then there's a point where complaining of it bears no purpose.

 
I want to play a survival game where I fight zombies, do you think that could be an option in the settings?

 
Here is one solution to your unhappiness:

Install the 7D2D Mod launcher then you can try different mods of varying difficulty. From what you've said, I'd recommend the Gnamod horde mode. Tons of zombies, and pretty difficult. Also, a couple of Sphereii-mental mods have blood moon hordes every night.
