My experience mostly amounts to tinkering with the config xmls (Items, progression, modifiers etc.) for myself and a friend in a p2p game and I've had a lot of fun simply exploring and tinkering with them so far. I have a little understanding of Unity if that's what I need to use, and how to google any issues I might have with that, but if somebody could point me towards what I'm looking for that would be a great help.
For context I'm simply trying to examine Item/Weapon type classes to see which I might engineer best for a melee/thrown (Action0/Action1) spear (and possibly more items). I'm unsure which class would be best for such, Catapult or ThrowAway, if ThrowAway can be configured to apply damage I believe that would function better, as it seems it may handle the combined weapon-as-a-magazine type deal and already has throw strength baked in. I'm just not sure what variables and effects can be applied to something using each of those classes.
