PC When you get bored, what projects do you start?

My base is located in a small forest biome that has wasteland to the north, snow to the east, burning to the west, and plains to the south. When I say small, each of the biomes are about 100 blocks from my base.

I was looking for stuff to do, so I started to transform the wasteland biome into a garden. I had dug a tunnel from my base to a cemetery POI in the wasteland. Phase one was to beautify the cemetery. Clear out the trash. Dig out one layer of rubble and replace with soil. Clear the weeds. Plant a nice maple tree. And repair the brick wall. I planted mums or goldenrod at each headstone.

Phase two was to start digging out the rubble around the cemetery and start replacing it with soil. I added a couple pools of water in the area.

It felt weird after it was “greened” up a bit to still be in the wasteland.

Has anyone else built non-base related projects for the heck of it ?

 
When I get bored I chop rocks for nitrate or coal and rocks and raw iron and lead. Chop trees. Make the 50 cement pillars and place them edge of roads and my outposts. When really bored I go for a drive to fill up water jars. Or even start a new out post. Loot bird nest for eggs and make arrows. Loot houses and care packages. Pick stuff in my garden.

haha thats about what I do everyday other than get care packages. When I'm bored I take a stone axe and chop paths thru the desert so I can take shortcuts with my mini-bike without taking damage from those little cactus's that I dont see until its too late. I get lots of plant fibers, Yucca's, loot trash and nests also.

 
I even made toilets and placed them in buildings with no toilets. I'll go on a turd hunt some day. Since our own character doesn't poop. Even though the cement mixer has the easier fertilizer mix without turds. Once fertilizer is placed do I have to replace it every crop? Or is it a one time deal? Or can I double up on it and have better crops yet?

 
Glad to see this thread and will keep an eye on it. My wife and I play offline splitscreen navesgame but haven't played in over a month. I check the forum everyday to see if updates are made that will make us pick it up again. We have a couple nice bases built and have looted every building/house on the map. At this point though it's a bit stale and repetitive to us. This isn't meant do be a dig at the dev's or the game as we applaud the hard work that was put into this game and really enjoyed it. Just wish there was something more to do now.

Wow, even YOU get bored despite having daily hordes and screamers? ;)

Once the ground is fertilized you never have to mess with it. You can keep replanting anything and it always yields more.

I love this! I usually clean up the hub, but I never thought about terraforming it :) New project!!

I'm getting close to day 200. I did make 100 duct tape other day. Might make some explosive tip arrows for crossbow. Ya daily hordes are okay for looting bodies hoping they have brass on them for shell casing smelting. All stock up on a box of clothes and another box of medical supplies. Box of seeds. I got tunnels and outposts all over.

Lockers full of guns and ammo. Toilets placed all over. Also working on assembling third and forth AK47. I use my sniper rifle less and stock up and ammo. Mainly use my bow now. Made some land mines and dynamite other day. Debating to build on that island. Have a bridge and pillars around the island. Maybe make a castle or something. Still have to find the other traders in the game yet. I looked at the map once or twice from here. I had the coordinates wrote down. But never found them yet. I know where Joel is. I should look at the map again before I sign on. Maybe look for the oil plant as well.
