PC When falling can't grab onto ladder.

As the title suggests, any time I fall down and try to get a hold of the ladder i'm RIGHT NEXT TO, my character just don't hold onto it, whether i'm walking forward, jumping or doing anything else which results in breaking my legs a lot.

I am an underground builder and survivor so i always dig straight now and place ladders, and when sometimes missing my ladder upon entering my base I just fall to my death or yet another broken leg.

Is this intentional or a bug?

 
Another poster said this was reported and the devs are aware of the issue. 

Another poster also figured out and I've tested this, that if you let go of the jump key, your player will stick to the ladder. 

Apparently we all hold on to the jump action when doing this but for some reason it's causing us to not grab on. 

So try that, let go of the jump key/button before you hit the ladder & see if that helps.
