PC When did you start playing?

This thread is not officially off-topic discussions.

Does that mean it would be okay to discuss the price of rice in China? after all, TFPs might decide to put rice in as a food and we need to know how much it would cost to buy seeds from the traders.

:playful: :smile-new:

We will need a Yuan to Duke Token converter. :D

I was gifted the game in June/July of 14 but not sure since Steam only shows you who/when you gifted not when you received. Since I started gifting it myself first week of August, June or July is probably right....A6 was the version. I have just over 4000 hours, all but maybe 10 hours in vanilla, all in multiplayer. I play coop with one guy alternating from our rented server and other servers & restart every 3-4 weeks since once you hit level 60 it becomes stale. I play dead is dead and gave up vehicles to slow progression down by walking everywhere I want to go. So for A17 I’m hoping to see changes that make me not want to restart. Also am looking forward to improved melee as spiked club is my fav.

I bought 7 Days to Die in late November 2014. It was A10.1, updated a couple of days later to A10.2.

I have 6831 hours recorded on Steam (some hours offline too, but can't say how many). Also, I got an Xbox One X and 7 Days to Die this summer so I could play with my brother (we play every weekend for a few hours).

I'm addicted, and that's putting it lightly. :)

Am I still playing A16.4? You better believe it! 2 games running: Navezgane map right now, plus a great mod called Ravenhearst (here's a plug for you Jax!)… Oh! And the Xbox game is also on Navezgane, for now.

December of 2013. Alpha 6 released shortly afterward and is the earliest version I can really remember. Seemed like a cool Minecraft mod back then...lol. My son and I had been eyeing Rust but then decided against it. We started looking for other games tagged as "Like Rust" and found this one. After reading up on it and realizing it was voxel, I took the leap.

I remember being really worried that it might not run as back then it was quite a common problem being talked about on the Steam forums. Lots of complaining and bitterness about purchasing it. But it worked and I was sucked into the event horizon. Started out on the Steam forums until I noticed that all the news was being transferred from some other cooler place and figured I should just go there. So in February of 2014 I found the only other zombie-like creatures on the internet that could compete with 7 Days to Die for entertainment. You guys.

I currently have 1500 hours plus change.

Alpha 8.4 - so that spring/early summer 2014?. Got about 2000 hours logged on steam, but not all hours played are logged there.

I still miss the intro tune from back then. It was sort of hypnotzing to me. Even kept it on in the background while working (I never listen to music when working). Lol the days when the ideas were still fresh and the book needed to be finished 'somewhere in the future'

I used to try and start out in the desert. Less nasty surprises/better visibility (heat management was a thing though) and if you payed attention the rabbits frequently killed themselves on cacti - easy meat early on.

I have no idea when i started to play, maybe someone remember? There were those flying bee like creatures, really annyoing.

A13. Hub cities! I miss that more than anything else, that hub city was wonderful. Deadly at times, but serious fun. Barfing zombies. Huge hornets. You leveled up your crafting skills by ... are you ready? ... crafting. Want a better club? Go craft a dozen of them, and since you supposedly learn as you go, each club is a bit better.

A13 had a lot going for it, TFP could have just fixed the bugs and called it done for all I care.

A14 had seriously broken graphics, A15 was a nice bug-fix release. A16 didn't really have anything in it that pushed my buttons.

I am actually playing through A13 right now, reliving the hub cities and other fun things.

I started playing 1 or 2 updates before "treegate" when the trees were deadlier then the zombies.... Was watching my buddy die as he got crushed by a falling tree, again and again.

I had to check my profile and I joined these forums in August 2014. So, just over 4 years ago. I probably started playing a month or so before that. As of today I have 993 hours logged on Steam. I have had some significant breaks from the game. I didn't play much of alphas 14 and 15, not for any reason. Just playing other games but really enjoyed spending a couple of hundred hours on 16 recently and looking forward to 17. Looks like we are in for a complete overhaul. £20 very well spent.

Sometime in '14. Over 1200 hours in game, none of which have been spent in a canoe/boat or on a raft of any kind.

Dec 2013 was A6 I believe. I have 1478 hours played. I seem to play each new Alpha for awhile then leave it and wait for the next one. It's like playing a new game every time.
