Whelp, I done lost my low level Drone!

Howdy folks, i'm just after day 35 noon, did a buried treasure quest, drone was in the way, so I stepped aside, told it to "Stay", got the treasure...and then my drone was not on the map or compass. quite and rejoined a couple times now, even went all the way back to base, still no drone. Any thoughts about how to find my missing drone?

From previous situations like this (long age) I cannot just go buy another drone and use it, so is my current game a wash, drone wise, or is there a way to make it show back up?

There is some drone-manipulating command, but I can't remember what it is.. f1: "help" might help. Then again, the only time I've tried it, it didn't do much; the issue was my ground had started phasing, made for an interesting horde night as zeds couldn't stand on anything, I was hanging on to a ladder watching whole waves just fall thru .... anyhoo ..

To find a drone:
Look at the log after loading into your save and look for a line that mentions drones. It will give coordinates. This usually occurs within a short time of loading into the game, so you should be able to open your log a few minutes after spawning into the world (press F1 and then click the logs button to open the logs folder and then open the most recent) and then look near the bottom of the current log. As long as the coordinates are not (NaN, NaN, NaN), then you can just go to those coordinates and find it. A drone can get "broken" by being hit and then will sit and wait until you click on it. It can also stay where you die until you return to the area. It is usually on the compass still, but sometimes that doesn't work, especially if you're not close enough.

To clear a drone:
F1
jd clear <enter>
F1
Try placing a new drone.

If clearing the drone doesn't work, you will need to delete the two drone.dat files in your save folder and then may need to clear the drone as well after deleting the files.

Did this work? Because before 2.5 that was not working at all and according to several sources you needed the Drone ID for it.
