PC What y’all got planned for the weekend?

Well it’s time for me to say goodbye to Rekt, I’ll miss the hungover son of a, and set up my mini water farm outpost in the burnt forest. Why you might ask? Cause the game will let me, it will be fun, and reasons. Think I am bringing enough supplies with me? Still have a couple of things to craft before I head out.

How about y’all? Any plans for your weekend among the Zs? Or just going where the wind takes you?

I’m at day 135, hour long days, so just all through having the time and will spend whole weeks just hunting and harvesting. Forge runs 24/7. I honestly find that grinding all that out is very soothing to my soul. Making day trips to the border of the snow and wasteland to hunt bears is quite relaxing if you ask me. Same with making big rocks into little rocks and my nighttime farming routine I’ve settled into. I also decided I wanted to clear the roads of all the cars 😂

That's awesome, much respect! I feel it's 10x more rewarding when you play the game legit and don't use any kind of exploits. Also, I forgot what game it was where I was using an exploit and it just ruined the game for me completely because, I didn't have to loot, craft or do anything anymore. I wanna say it was SOD2, but then again I'm not 100% sure since it was quite a few years ago. With that said, I'm just happy I fought the urge and stopped since I didn't want to make it a long-term habit to where it's the only thing I'm doing all game cause it can be addictive. And to answer your original question, my plans for this weekend is to build some kind of defense around my base with traps to combat the ever spawning of Screamers lol. Also, did they change the heat map % for when Screamers spawn in now, I ask because it feels a lot more excessive compared to before? And no bs, I can turn on my Campfire and 1-2 of them will spawn within 3 minutes of turning it on.

Nice yeah I just finished fortifying my main base for screamers as part of my plans for hitting the road. Couple got in my basement at night and smashed up the place. Spawns got amped up right before release. Less heat triggers chance but less chance to spawn when triggered. Cooldown I think got longer between trigger chance.

I have a forge and 2 dew collectors going constantly and rotate one other workstation on depending on what I’m feeling/need. Some days get them some days don’t. I went with a moat of spike traps, three rows, all around my base except for the horde wing. Sometimes I let them die on the spikes. If it’s night…I planted a bunch of trees around my base and fighting a mini horde with your headlamp on among trees…good times

 
Interesting! It's weird they supposedly have less of a chance to spawn in now, but it feels quite the opposite at times, well for me anyway haha. Either way it doesn't really bother me though, I was a bit curious because I had just gotten two radiant Screamers maybe an hour or so ago, and I just had two of them the day before as well lol.

Oh yeah they definitely travel in pairs these days. Some unfortunates have gotten caught in an almost never ending loop of screamers spawning screamers. There’s a whole thread on the PC side about it. Where I got the moat idea from.

Yeah, I need to do something because they are constantly harassing me lol 

 
So a simple spike trap moat works now? I tried the slope filler plate with road dash does not work, I tried the two ramps back to back per you tuber, failed... cube hole block seems to kinda work...

Seems to be working fine for me so far. Have it 3 rows of spikes and just one block deep. Just the wooden spikes. Once a week I go around and repair replace unless I hear or see a bunch got damaged. Though depending what your settings are might need to go more rows.
