What will these Behaviour / 7 Days to Die job listings mean for the game?

Double G

Survivor
So I recorded the video after being made aware of these job listings.

This does not sound like a passive role in the future of 7DTD. Can we get a little clarification? Who is the "Creative Director" they're talking about? Joel? Rick? Joel & Rick?

How much influence / control are Behaviour taking? I mean, corporations / officials have always been known to say what sounds good to the public but then do what they want to do regardless. Is that what's happening here?

I don't know about you, but, I really don't know how long it takes to find people with those kinds of credentials...I can easily see it taking 6 months or more to find what are hopefully "the right people". I think it's good they are proactive...perhaps these people are meant to come on board for a year or so, so a proper hand over of whatever they hash out gets done the way it gets done. I doubt we are going to get answers, but, they are good questions.

Personally, I have shifted my focus onto a deeper level of modding and it doesn't look like they're going to touch that...and even if they do, the current version of the game is very likely more than enough for what I'm envisioning.

However, with the little I know of game development, it's extremely difficult to usher in new coders and expect them to make heads nor tails of a game like this that is basically built on spaghetti code. I could very well be wrong, but I would imagine it will take quite a while for them to solidify a strong foundation before adding anything new. That could, and probably should, be couple years worth of work.

Also the listing said "Permanent / Full Time" so that doesn't sound like a year or so.

I mean, it could go either way.

We will see, but it would be nice to get a more detailed explanation from the Fun Pimps side.
