Mine was I was in town looting and I was going in to a building and 2 zombie dogs attacked me!!!!! I managed to get one of em but the other one ate me:(

What is your worst zombie attack you had so far on alpha 18?

4+ demolishers showing up as a constant respawn on horde night. Ensured that we had no chance of survival when one of them eventually blew up close enough to us. When more than 1 started showing up we knew it was just a matter of time before we were hosed. Now we are just designing countermeasures just to remove those guys from horde nights so we can kill the other zombies. If that doesnt work out then we will see bout removing them from the xml files if possible, demo's are just useless bullet sponge base wreckers.

I did not really have a zombie problems, but recently I stumbled at the top of my base and fell into my spike moat. I died. Boy was that humbling. I came to conclusion that safety is important started placing railing everywhere. When I was at my last piece I couldn get the angle just right, stopped paying attention and fell to my death again. Zombies are no danger in this game compared to unsafe construction practices.

Lol. Did you get your stuff back? Also the zombies were dangerous before alpha 18:) Cause past alpha phases they wondered around I miss that:( hope it comes back.

A mountain lion that attacked me while I was gathering stuff for the starting quest line. I had a primitive bow with 2 arrows, a wooden club and nowhere to run to.

Other than that, the only time I died was when I thought I'd have some sledgehammer fun at the landing pad of the Shotgun Messiah Factory in week two or so. Factory itself was a total breeze, so I didn't expect the landing pad to be full of irradiated big guys. Turns out a sledge is terrible when your whole screen is green. Had to run and jump off, broke my leg, got chased and stun locked despite my heavy armor.

Game back a few days later with a M60 and it was a breeze again.

I made a bit too much noise in a POI, and a tourist rage charged me after I threw 1 of my 3 spears, (stone at the time), into his head. I tried to throw my 2nd stone spear but the rage charge caused it to miss so I was beating on him with my iron spear as I backed up into the arms of a biker behind me.

Where's the post-apocalyptic OSHA when you need it?

I got swarmed by construction zombies going through a vault hatch at the SM Factory. The next time I play, I'm going back for my revenge.

Other than that, I was mobbed by a zombie bear while putting on the finishing touches for a horde night. *sigh* That's why they talk about sports teams losing because they were looking ahead and forgot to think about the current opponent. Got to keep your head on a swivel.

Day one, I was on my way to my trader in the desert. A skater punk zombie sneaked up on me from behind and hit me. While trying to fend him off he went into super rage mode and a vulture joined the zombie and together they killed me.

The second worst attack was when I did a quest in the Home Depot. I only heard a growl and suddenly 4 dogs charged at me. However, I survived this attack thanks to my shotgun.

I was atop one of the towers of a Shaway factory, the one that has the big loot, hiding from the blood moon horde. Somehow, they got to the base of the tower and wacked away all night. The tower didn't collapse til morning came, when I was just stepping off the ladder. The problem wasn't the leftover zombies from the horde, but rather the sleeper ferals waiting for me down below and the vultures. I had to jump to get out of their grasp.

Good thing I had a shotty, otherwise I would've been toast, but I was an inch from death.

Our group had to restart a map, so I let everyone set to level 15, and spawn in some items. We started again on day 1, and over the next 6 days, we were all in our 20's+, so when the 7th came, our 10x10 solid cobblestone castle was quickly weakened at the bottom, and the whole thing fell in on itself. It was fun, at least. :)

Wolves and I don’t get along. If I die, it’s usually to one of those within the first few days. Supposedly, they howl now before they attack, but I still think there are a few situations where they don’t.

Anyway, this one time I actually heard it running at me (without a howl) and I thought, ah hell no, not this time. I had just spent a whole day getting myself out of the wasteland where I spawned and I was almost out of the burned forest. I started running through a town, weaving through openings between POIs.

He got a couple bites in, but after some parkour over house porch railings and making a turn, I knew I lost him. I was coming to the other corner of the house and as I was making the turn, I walked backwards just to see and make sure I did lose him. I did, and I started laughing, feeling all proud of myself... until I completed my turn around the corner, did a 180 to start running forward and bam... got a nice bear claw clothesline to the face. Still blaming the wolf.

The first time I went into the huge Shamway factory "dungeon", TONS of zombies came crashing through the cafeteria roof, which I think woke up other sleepers in other areas of the factory. Scared the crap outta me. Took a lot of time and evasive maneuvers to kill them all.

I had an entire gang of cops come at me early on...my gamestage wasn't even that high. I don't know what could have triggered it. Luckily I had a double barrel shotgun. Somehow I didn't get hit once.

A zombie bear stole my honey and then infected me.
In alpha 17 my trader was in the wasteland. Guess what was right next to the trader? A zombie bear. I pumped 20 arrows into the thing and it didn't die. I ended up somehow killing it through shear luck.

Protip: Have a separate horde night defense base from your main base. It's saved me many times. We have it specifically hardened against horde night and we keep plenty of ammo inside.

That was literally a 6x6 reinforced concrete tower with a obstacle course leading up to it and surrounded by a spikes that we had specifically built for horde night. If anybody is using their main base for horde night in A18 then eventually they will not have a base because demoloshiers are stupid powerful.
