Beyond Good and Evil came out on the same year as Freelancer... and I'm still waiting for Freelancer 2 to release, or at least a game very similar to it.

I just learned about Baldur's Gate 3 coming into Early Access sometime this year.

Yes and yesterday they released a gameplay trailer. But I am more excited about Pathfinder: WotR, the features promised are unreal.
