PC What POI do you loot first when entering a new town or city and why?

Carl's Corn, as soon as I can.

Grab the seeds, head up to the attic, and plant them. No points required in any skills to do that.

If I have already got my "Living off the Land" skill maxed out/3rd level, I can harvest the three stalks of super corn that are there, and if I get even one of the three chances of an extra ear, that will give me 10 ears of super corn, which I will makes 2 extra seeds from.

Bob's Boar's, and stock up on some ham. I'm still working on being able to kill Gracie w/o dying or running out of arrows. Killed her on day one this last game, but had to leave and search for nests/feathers several times, for lack of arrows.

She respawned on day 10, and I killed her and all the little one again, and my friend and I are on day 15 now, so...

Car's Corn/Bob Boars is a great started place, has over 10 farm plots in the attic, and 6+ hogs, and of course, Gracie down in the basement...
me and my friend are both pretty new to the game(me two months them three) so we have been avoiding that poi since hearing about grace, how hard do you think it would be to clear as long as we avoid her specifically? and if not avoid at least fight her with me and a lvl1 pistol and my friend with whatever level spear they can upgrade to by day 3-4?

In short, if you want to avoid Gracie, don't go down the unlit underground tunnel. The rest of the PoI is easy to clear. There are two ways to get the super corn seeds and schematics, one is easy, and the other offers a bit of fun to figure out.

There are also two ways to get to Gracie, the intended path is unlit and is entered from the sub-basement in Carl's Corn (which is through a concealed Steel door), and the proper way/unintended way, which is torch lit with many loot locations.

This last game, I killed Gracie with a level one primitive bow, with stone arrows. It takes a lot of these to kill her. Keep in mind, that the barrier between you and Gracie is just wood (If you go in the proper way), so keep that in mind. If instead, you go down the unlit underground passage, and fall/jump in the hole in the floor at the end, that will drop you right down into Gracies lair, well, I think you and your friend will end up staying for dinner...Gracie's dinner that is.

As for melee/spear, just don't. In general, if you can hit her with melee, she can hit you as well, and...

It depends on game stage/level for me. Early game, anything with food, drink and cooking pot. I think I'll start approaching this differently in future games and just build a forge to craft my own pot.

Mid game it's usually based on needs. If I need weapons/ ammo, Shotty Stores. I usually at this point start spec'n hard in Lucky Looter to find quality gear.

Late game it's all about fun, exploration and what looks interesting.

Yeah, like WarMongerian said, if you don't drop into the hole into the lair, you can do the rest of the POI without difficulty. You used to be able to shoot Grace from above the hole, but now she stands out of range until you drop in. If you go in through the exit, you can fight Grace through some openings and it's pretty easy even with low level gear. Just don't let her reach you.

I try to make my first base near a trader. At the very start I'm looking for food and honey. I'm playing on normal difficulty. I liked the old Navezgane House of Broken Dreams.
