Playing every beta or release, coming to the trader for valuable goods, for the first 14 days of my playthrough, I constantly ask myself - why can't I ask the trader to hold the selected item for me for the next cycle of the item list?
I think, this could work as a button in the same row as "buy", when choosing an item from a trader, or other functionality that allows you to pay 1/3 of the item's price right now to hold it. Or hold it immediately and for free, but with an additional price added when you buy the item. Moreover, after confirming such a deal, it no longer matters whether you buy next week or right now - the price has already been increased.
I like the second option better because it seems convenient and with this implementation I won't have to pay for any item if I later find myself not needing it at that much higher price due to holding it over and over. If I don't buy or hold it, I won't see it next time i visit the trader. The first option seems strict towards the player, but more realistic (after all, nobody gives a bribe somewhen later). Perhaps this can be linked to perk bonuses. The second option is used only with improved trade, and the first without, for example.
I'm not entirely sure how best to propose (or where) this suggestion, so I'm as open to dialogue as possible, hoping that the community's interest in my little idea will increase the chance of seeing this convenience in the game. Really interested if somebody can imagine why it may be not as good idea as I see.
