Hello !
I have the feeling that more weapons should be added to the game. Not for the sake of just having more, but to support more play styles, both in fighting strategy and resource-wise.
In particular, having multiple-tag weapons (eg heavy and blade, melee and range) would allow us to combine the corresponding skills (and because of that bonus, multiple tag weapons should have lower base damages or other penalties). I can imagine the following multi-tag weapons, and a few ideas to balance them.
* Great sword (Heavy and blade). Makes you encumbered ? Weapon may randomly remain stuck in bodies and requires 3 sec to remove ?
* Throwing stones by hand should be a viable weapon in the first days.
* Throwing shiv, daggers, spear (blade and range). Base attack is a swing, power attack is a throw with short range.
* Throwing shuriken : throw only, stack by 5, made with scrap iron. Maybe affected by agility instead of accuracy- Affected by perk ninja movement (just for the sake of immersion) ?
Thrown items are affected by both str and accuracy. Throwing weapons would consume stamina (contrarily to existing range weapons). Thrown items are pickable (just like arrows). To avoid doublon of these new throwable items with the existing bow, I guess the bow should become more far-ranged, and slower to use.
Thoughts ?
