PC V3.0 Sandbox Siege Dev Diary

i am far more curious about when we are going to get briefed about the future plans for the game...what the road map moving forward will look like.
I'd like to know what their vision of 7 dtd as a live service game looks like...and how it changes what has been built. if at all.
ive also wondered this same thing, and maybe it just comes down to 3.0 being the draw line where bE starts to have an influence moving forward from it. The one thing i do know from research bE likes them some PVP so that bolds well for the future of 7d2d.

A few streamers whose channels are dedicated to this game, when talking about the 3.0 dev stream, mentioned quite confidently that the streamer weekend is supposed to be from the 12th to the 14th, and the PC experimental on the 15th. I don’t know where they got this information from, since we haven’t received any official announcement. Maybe they assume it will be like that because it usually follows this pattern, or they received that information earlier as content creators.
I obviously know nothing because I'm not a TFP streamer BUT it does REALLY seem like some other people really really know it's coming so I'd trust them tbh

My go too is echo he's very professional about it. But for smaller bits I got to a mix of people but there's not much we know

We know about the settings
Potential levels for other items like cooking pots
Possible chicken coops

And a few more

I'd have to wonder if they are allowed to comment about it in advance if TFP isn't announcing it yet... Oh well. That's between TFP and them.
Yes since the streamers have to make an announcement so that their subscribers can watch then live.
But then again, I'm not part of the Content Creator program (just like you) so I'm just guessing. 😁

lately with 7d2d news "apparently" is really the only option people have for assumptions..
past history shows after dev stream/streamer weekend/experimenatl release.
I do not think its to far fetched for him to assume that date based off history, untill i hear something that says different ill buy his timeline.
Yes, I used "apparently", or I could have used "supposedly" (but that sounds too much like "suppository" so decided to skip it). 😁

You mean WaywardEko? Yes, he's alright and is the one that mentioned the streamer weekend on his stream last night. Others have announced it also.

Yes, some people who invite you on their streams on streamer weekend, like GNS and WaywardEko, have announced it for June 12-14.

Pleasssseee more farming stuff animals, crops. Let me make or collect decorations I love the old signs in the gas station POIs but I cannot purchase or collect these. I would love a builder/decorator update I cant image too many complaints on an update like that. Fishing would be cool too anything to make water better. Forget reworking systems just make better what already works base building.

I don't get on these forums much these days so I have started the habit of doing an AI summary. I find it helpful but have a feeling that it may be controversial so I usually keep it to myself. This time, I thought I would share what Grok summarized on this thread:

Core Announcement & Theme

  • Teased on Feb 27, 2026: TFP posted a screenshot preview of a massive new Sandbox customization menu with well over 100 new gameplay simulation options. This is the headline feature of V3.0 "Sandbox Siege."
  • It includes granular toggles for loot (e.g., specific categories like ammo/meds), workstation spawns, HUD elements (compass, time, map), zombie behaviors, and much more. The goal is to give players (especially console users without easy mod access) deep control over their experience, enabling presets like "No Traders," "Headshots Only," "Roguelike/Permadeath," "Never-Ending Hordes," city-heavy worlds, and an "Ultimate Romero Mode."
  • Additional confirmed or hinted elements: New item features (e.g., stats/levels on more items like cooking pots), possible chicken coops/farming improvements, and other surprises. The update emphasizes presets with difficulty ratings and aims to feel like a "whole new game" for many.

Thread Evolution & Content

  • Early Pages (1–10ish): Heavy focus on the initial teaser excitement, speculation about scope (e.g., is this the full 3.0 or just sandbox settings?), and wishlist suggestions. Common requests included more zombie count sliders (beyond console limits), spawn distance on death, profession starts, terrain/biome customization, headshots-only mode details, and GUI/HUD tweaks. Some frustration over the update's priority vs. the old roadmap (Bandits/Story).
  • Mid-Thread: Community testing of experimental options (where available), positive feedback on uncluttered HUDs, dismemberment fun in headshots-only, biome/resource discussions, and debates on progression vs. pure sandbox freedom. Dev responses (e.g., from faatal) were occasional but helpful (e.g., no per-player loot plans). Moderators occasionally redirected off-topic chatter.
  • Later Pages (up to 45+ as of early June 2026): Continued hype, more wishlists (farming/animals/crops, decorations, fishing, builder tools, vehicle durability, trader tweaks, feral persistence, etc.), performance/pathing talks for higher zombie counts, and speculation on release timing. Some ongoing complaints about communication/roadmap delays and the company sale to Be (with PVP hopes). Light-hearted tangents (e.g., pig model jokes).

Release Status (as of ~June 7, 2026)

  • Still pre-experimental (feature complete as of early June per dev comments; bug-fixing phase). Strong community speculation (from streamers like WaywardEko) points to a possible streamer weekend June 12–14 and PC experimental around June 15, following past patterns. No official confirmation yet.
  • The thread serves as a catch-all for V3.0 talk since the main sneak peek lacked its own dedicated news thread initially.

Overall Tone

  • Highly positive among most users for the customization depth—seen as a big win for replayability and accessibility. Console players are especially excited.
  • Mixed with impatience from some over delayed content (Bandits/Story, updated roadmap) and communication. Typical forum mix of hype, suggestions, debates, and memes.
  • Moderators keep it somewhat focused, noting it's not yet a full formal dev diary but will evolve.

The thread has hundreds of posts and remains active with rumors and anticipation. For the absolute latest, visit it directly or watch for official TFP/dev streams.

All will be revealed in the Dev stream on June 10.
You get my vote for "The most likely to follow in Grandpa Minion's footsteps" award. 😁
respectfully, if history and memory still hold, we will get the answers to the question THEY want to answer. I've asked this before, why do they not ask for questions, ahead of time, from their own forum??

Here's what is likely to happen: it will start late with technical issues. They'll stick to questions that glaze them...they'll tell us how bright the future is with Behaviour, they won't tell us anything about the road ahead. Bandits will still be a "hopefully this year". We'll hear that the integration with Behaviour is going well, but, not a ■■■■ thing about when we will see the improvement to update schedule or to communication. oh...and they will push some merchandise. sound about right?

I'd love to be wrong about this. I'd like for them to finally tell us something about what Behaviour is going to...let's call it "add" to the game.

As to AI content...if "no one" trusts it...why not just ban Posts that feature AI content? or are "we" just going to keep on collectively ■■■■ting on it anytime it gets used? seems silly...if someone wants to stop thinking for themselves...let them...isn't that also how we collectively feel about marriage. lol
