I just spent a couple of months re-coding a web page developed with AI. It sort of worked, but struggled to give the same result consistently, which was an issue as it was balancing ship cargos worth over US$18 mill each.

To me that sounds like an awfull waste of time. As a former chief officer and surveyor I know that stability calculation for those smaller shipments can be done in minutes with just a pocket calculator.
