PC V3.0 Dead Hot Summer Dev Diary

So, they used a picture of a blueprint to let us know that soon we'll be able to put a chicken in a plastic box? That is pure TFP. I'm gonna miss them when this is all over. They should add chicken house as DLC
So we've people like Hammer wanting more progress updates and info, and then we they tease something coming you complain that they showed it. TFP can literally never win. It's called a teaser, stop complaining. It isn't DLC, it's coming in likely the next update. Don't be silly.

there's absolutely no reason you'd spend time trying to find some playhouse to convert to a chicken coop when you can very easily make one with scrap wood and metal that would look far more normal in this game.

There are a couple of daycare/elementary school POIs, I don't think it's too far-fetched to drag one of those playhouses home.. I personally don't really care what it looks like tbh, plastic or wood, as long as they give me eggs 🍳

My one concern would be that this means it's going to require us to find a playhouse to craft one, and therefore, like the apiaries, it's going to be hard to get multiple of them, or they won't be available until you don't really need them any longer.

why don't one of you just ask her? instead of all this speculation about what it is? what will we need to make it? ...just ask her directly.

I do want better communication. It was one of the things they said we'd see after they "joined" BHVR.
along side an updated roadmap and more updates more frequently.

That's hilarious. I didn't "complain that they showed it", I simply made fun of it. Totally different thing. It's funny that they used imagery which had no obvious connection to the subject matter to "tease" a feature we have all known about for months. Yes, once I was told that the Barbie Beach House is actually a chicken coop, I can see the wire. I get it. Pardon me for being underwhelmed. I was hoping for something more interesting when I saw the blueprint. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

I'm fine with the idea of RNG dropping something nice early in the game, but not a Q6 of anything. That kind of RNG is bad for a game, imo. If you get lucky and get some really good Q6 drops in the early game, it pretty much makes continuing that game not really worth doing. There isn't much to work towards and there's little challenge if you were to have a Q6 weapon or something else that's going to push you far above everything around you.

If I get lucky and get a q4-q6 cripple em or weighted head mod (which I would consider two of the best mods), i would feel lucky but it doesn't make me totally OP with my q0 pipe shotgun or q0 club. The situation where I would find a q6 auto shotgun on day 1 would be quite different

Uh, because I know it's the chicken coop. Why would I bother asking when I already know the answer?

And yeah, those job openings still look open.

I find it unlikely that TFP would go to that length, especially given that I don't recall seeing a single playhouse in the game. They have us craft Dew Collectors with simple ingredients despite the model clearly showing a blue plastic barrel, which appears abundantly in the world.

Depending at which stage it is crafted (mid game, I'm assuming), the ingredients should be pretty easy to come by.

What if we get a new playhouse block that acts like a tree stump, so when you break it there's a chance for a zombie child to spawn 🥴
I'm taking this as a joke, but in case you or anyone else legitimately wants to see zombie children in the game, TFP have long stated that's never gonna happen for several reasons. One of them being the inclusion of children that the player needs to kill, while they are technically monsters, would likely cause the game to be banned in certain overseas markets.

That and I think most players don't like the idea of killing child-like NPCs.

You mean 3.x.x I guess. The answer is... A bunch! (since they probably don't even know what will be happening tomorrow) 😁
Yeah, they don't "plan" a specific number of updates for a version. They do whatever is necessary to fix bugs or add features that are related to that version. Once they are close to being ready for the next major version (4.0), then they'll stop adding new versions for 3.x.x and anything else will be held off until 4.0. Until then, we'll keep getting 3.x.x updates. That's always how it is, and it's not a bad thing. It doesn't in any way slow down the release of 4.0.

Sorry, but, There are still features they have said they planned on adding to 3.0...I would count that stuff as them knowing they will do (x?) more updates to get those in. (then, yes, there are still the unplanned adds or fixes).

I thought TFP "joining" BHVR was supposed to see us get improved communication...what happened to that?

From what I can remember them saying early on after the Behaviour announcement is that Behaviour's involvement will start post Update 4.0
Could be with communications also... Maybe? I don't know how the B.E. communication is right now with their Dead By Daylight game since I don't own or follow that game or any other games they published.
