If anyone wonders why RAM prices are kissing the sky, there is an example above my post :P

I get the feeling if you spammed the forums with low effort MS paint images there would be pushback from the mods because it's low effort spam. But you ask a computer to do it for you for even less effort and it stays. Curious 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Only one way to find out ill be back

If I read faatal correctly, it looks like you don't plan on having a 2.7 release before 3.0. Also, seems like some work has already been done on 3.0. Should we start the 3.0 dev diary or is it still too early?

They usually do that only after all minor versions of the pervious version are done. So if 2.6 is the last, the dev diary will come out sometime after 2.6 is stable. If they plan on 2.7, then it'll be sometime after 2.7 is stable. They might do it differently, but that's the normal way they do it.

Bring back buckets.....make it a recipe when you get the anvil.....hammered bucket,,,,at least let you have some water instead of constantly dying from dehydration when you arent lucky enough to have a few jars or the cookpot to boil water. Maybe make a water storage system.,,,,like a barrel table thingy for water storage. It can only hold a certain amount and you can make them bigger as you progress. Make it a skill..WATER ACCLIMATION. example of progression...........Bucket/small barrell/large barrell/ Rain catcher or something like that...make it interesting instead of frustrating....where is the fun in that.

Funny but it seems all the complaints that were dismissed as this is the "BEST ITERATION" of the game are coming back to haunt the Pimps. Listen to your players....If it works...leave it alone and add more interesting content. How many book versions have we gone through?? Gets a bit silly dont you think...Changing a system that worked only to return to it 5 years later.
Whatever...what do I know!!

Oh and

Coughs * Airport POI * Coughs

The bucket is still in the game so... I don't know what your complain is about. Just a few forged iron and you make it in the workbench.
The dew collector is your water storage. Make a few dew collectors and you have a constant water source; add the mods to it and you'll have too much water in no time.

Actually, you can make the bucket in your own inventory, you don't even need the workbench. I feel like in older versions it was made in the forge and if you open the forge and search for bucket it doesn't come up, which is why some folks might think the bucket isn't in the last few versions.

Right! I forgot that you can make a bucket in your inventory... Even if someone thinks it's not even in the game anymore. 😁

I know it can change, but I recall Madmole saying in the forums that they had some stuff planned for 2.8.

I feel you, still crossing fingers for The Hidden Feral Chickens update.
yes, I feel it adds a bit more fun to the game. For our mod of small tweaks, I mad the "Mad Chicken" that Fubar prime showed as a tutorial. gave just enough hit points to take a bit more damage than an arrow hit and inserted it as a small chance to spawn wherever normal chickens could spawn. so now if you're not to observant (they don't run from you when you get to close) you can get a nasty surprise when they attack you. so, as they have made them, I'm also hoping there in the update as we get a good laugh each time find one.

As for the bucket. as people said, it's still in the game but I think it or the water system still needs to be fixed as it breaks finding water a bit.

With the smell system, we make a bath with blocks in our base, use the bucket to fill it so when we eat, we can take a quick dip in the water to clean. But if we use it to fill jars up, it doesn't seem to run out and if we break the container holding it, it often spills over multiple blocks and can be picked up multiple times to multiply the amount of water you have.

How many jars do you think a bucket of water fills?

well of cause that would depend on the size of the bucket and the size of the jar. but if it was say, a 20 litre bucket and a 1 litre jar, then I would say 20. but certainly not infinite.
if you pour a bucket of water in a one block hole there does not seem to be a limit to how many jars you can fill from that.

@faatal
Greetings. I'd like to express my sincere gratitude for all the work you've been doing here. Bugs, imbalances, and other minor issues happen in absolutely every project—I've noticed that these are being fixed and balanced over time, and that's encouraging. In any case, we're waiting for 2.6 to see what new features have been "brought into the game." And yes, unfortunately, I still haven't found a complete list of what's coming in this update. I'll probably study it after it's released.

If I remember the roadmap correctly, you plan to add a full-fledged storyline for quests in some future XX version. I'd like to clarify: Will you be adding dialogue mechanics with NPCs?

A lot of people are currently trying to create their own quest chains to add variety to the game. But all of these chains are based on starting the next quest by using a new item, and receiving those items as a reward upon completing the previous one. A huge drawback of this solution is that the player can receive two rewards and there's no way to lock in the choice. Ultimately, creating any chain with a variety of choices is nearly impossible. There are casters and complex traversal schemes, but all of this ruins the game's simplicity.

How difficult is it to add such a mechanic to the game, and are such interactions with NPCs even planned?

Possibly a dumb question, but have vehicle headlights been removed in 2.5?

I'm only up to the minibike on my 2.6 playthrough, but pressing "F" doesn't turn on the headlight on that vehicle, and there isn't a different key binding for vehicle headlights.

Am I just missing something basic? If not, is this removed for all vehicles or just the minibike? Or is it a bug?
