V2.5 Survival Revival Dev Diary

Hello! 🤝
Is it possible to allow spider zombies to crawl on walls, as they did in early alpha versions? Or maybe even allow a spider zombie to jump from a wall onto the player, like the Hunter from Left 4 Dead? Or would that significantly degrade pathfinding performance, making it impossible, and would it never be implemented in the game?
This could add variety to the gameplay, such as jump scares at your base and more.
Because in the current version, the zombie spider is boring and useless, and those 3-meter jumps don't help him at all.
Thank u

Animals VS Players VS Zombies VS Bandits!

We need one big all FUBAR POI situation with a few large bears, dire wolves, the player(s), zombies and bandits in a big free for all...even better with WrestleMania style commentary!
In fact, the situation is quite expected. In games like Fallout4 or Starfield, you can often stumble upon a showdown between two factions hostile to the player. And the player has a choice: to get involved in the showdown immediately and receive blows from both sides, or wait until they finish and finish off the survivors.

Add more models/variants of regular zombies to the game, the game will definitely become more enjoyable and less repetitive.
And secondly, a player located a few meters underground should not be audible to zombies on the surface and likewise, the player should not hear what is happening on the surface. Just as you can see a storm approaching from afar, perhaps on “horde day” an army of zombies should roll in from a distance and pass through the player's positions (here you would need to work on the drawing range of objects and optimalization). And actually, the nearest merchant, next to whom people often build their bases, should say that he's going underground or something, because it's a bit silly when zombies are attacking only your base, while next to the fence it's quiet and peaceful, with no preparations for surviving the night. Perhaps on Horde Day, the merchant should be open for shorter hours.

I get the feeling if you spammed the forums with low effort MS paint images there would be pushback from the mods because it's low effort spam. But you ask a computer to do it for you for even less effort and it stays. Curious 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I said this at some point when they added the inmate zombie, why not give all the other zombies an orange jumpsuit outfit as well for variety. Same with the crawler, why not have crawler variants of all the other zombies by having them spawn with a missing leg, or just have the crawler walktype, you will hear a zombie but not think it's a crawler either, the crawler makes it own sound so you automatically know there's a crawler nearby.

To add to this, fog shouldn't be bleeding indoors, especially underground, it makes zero sense that I can't see in front of me whilst indoors because there's thick fog outside. They've removed indoor storm effects indoors, so they can apply the same to fog.

Let the prison zombie in an orange jumpsuit be first on the list, but even the current zombies could have their faces and clothing colors changed, or they could be randomly dismembered so that they crawl around, which would also be a good solution.
Adding a second variant of a doctor, soldier, motorcyclist or police officer would definitely be a plus, but I was mainly thinking about ordinary civilian zombies-because there will be the most of them. Some new sounds and animations would also be welcome.
O, and during the red moon + the coming fog could solve the problem with displaying the coming horde/drawing range/optimization.

This is some kind of idea
