V2.5 Survival Revival Dev Diary

Saw some dev footage today of a bandit/zombie inhabited POI. These look like they will be lots of fun with zombie-bandit interactions adding a twist to normal POI exploration.
that's great...so when are we going to see that? @madmole said a month a half ago that we'd be seeing models...eventually some game play....and that they had a updated road map...so far we have gotten not a ■■■■ thing, except silence.

Silence is Gold! At least, when it comes to TFP... Kidding! Or am I? 😁
I'm gonna guess half kidding and half not.

The silence isn't okay with a lot of people...they're ■■■■ed that they know TFP read their socials but NOW won't answer basic questions.

I appreciate you have been trying to get them to tell you anything about 2.6 and the bug fixes.

2.6 had a few nasty dew collector bugs from merging, but they appear to be fixed now, so 2.6 is near the end of testing.
So Friday? 2.6 Experimental on Friday? (Disclaimer: Whatever answers you give us is NOT, in any way, representative of what might actually happen and should not be criticized in any way, shape or form). 😁

That is why I dream of when vultures attack, or use to, and the infamous dog packs
which usually meant uuuhhh was soon to be heard. Since they added the new collar
jingle, I bumped up their spawn rate day and night in all biomes, Hearing that sound
in headphones now, is an instant involuntary muscle memory sphincter contraction
mechanism. Especially in the dark.

As an xbox player i'd love to see some performance improvements in 2.6 over anything else, the last patch made performance a lot worse. The hotfix didn't make much difference for me either, game runs worse than it did before....... and it wasn't all that great beforehand.

I love this game, the hours just disappear when i'm playing, genuinely the most addictive single-player gameplay i've ever had....... but the microstutters and massive frame dips suck the joy out of it, especially mid-late game when i'm trying to take on tier 4's and 5s. Big hub city's are pretty much a no-go for me - i'd love to make a base in the centre of one but the framerate is so horrible it just isn't feasible.

I know a lot of you will say move to PC, and that is an option........ but i expect the game i paid for to run at least decently on the hardware it's being sold on.

Thanks for reading, regards a hopefull consolite.

What Roland saw was very much work in progress so don't read too much into it...;)
The point being that they AREworking on bandits and bandit POIs and it IS in progress. Your point answers the question of why they haven’t shown anything in public yet. They want it to be polished more so it isn’t judged poorly.

But as rudimentary as it was it is exciting to know that there will be players and zombies and bandits mixing it up in confined quarters and that there will be situations where zombies and bandits will go for each other and as a player you can wait and see how it ends before getting involved yourself. It adds a dimension to even those unpopular trigger zones.

It also shows that TFP isn’t convinced by posts with AI generated signs telling them to only do bug fixes and push bandits out.
