Hello Survivors!
On this Saturday we have a EXP build for you available to test.
We recommend starting a new save game, but do not expect any issues to occur with continued saves during EXP.
The world corruption issue is only able to prevent this issue from occurring, it cannot restore saves it happened to.

TFP wishes an enjoyable rest of your weekend!

Here is how you participate:
  1. Right click on the game in steam
  2. Click on properties
  3. Click the “betas” tab
  4. The drop down menu will have latest_experimental available <— you want THAT
  5. Select that and wait for the game to download

V2.1 b5 Changelog

Appreciate the shorter storm duration ...but the warning time should be flat out removed or shortened. Storms should be unexpected unless we have some kind of thing where we can visit a trader for a weather report or build a vehicle mod that has a weather warning system.
Storms have a minimal impact as it is unless you're using Twitch Integration (which makes those large spawned parties more interesting).

Does this mean there are no plans to make the current armors dye-able? If so that's really dissapointing. I had always assumed that the armor losing the ability to be dyed was an oversight since the new armor system came out and that they would eventually make the armors dye-able again. This from my perspective looks like they're not planning to bring back dye-able armor.

If they do want to give us some warning it could start with strong winds, rain, etc before the dangerous storm hits. Then we get worried everytime it starts raining, not knowing if it will turn bad or not.

Hi Fun Pimps,
i think you should put less green in the area, like it was before, because now when you put the claim block, there's a lot of green area and if it came a bad wether you can't see because of the extensive ammount of green.
I think it's to much, even at night.
IMO.

If playing on 120 minutes equals 24 hours, any idea of the duration of the storm in game time?
Storms are 3-4 minutes real time depending on biome plus a random percent. The fix made the "24 Hour Cycle" not affect real time as it was always intended to be a real time duration.

As I understand it, we should expect a fix for this in the next patch??? https://community.thefunpimps.com/threads/consumables-can-be-used-infinitely.43118/#post-599613
Yes.

No. I want the warning, so you can proactively do something about it. Think of it as dark clouds in the distance, but we don't have gfx tech to draw that yet, so a warning.

We already have that but now with building fog in 2.1. Watch the particles and fog increase over the 60 second countdown. The extra 30 added was to help as I find 60 too short.

urban combat volume 5 now says landmines detonate two minutes slower instead of walking over them doesn't trigger them. is this a change that wasn't mentioned or am i just now noticing this?

That was to fix a bug if you tried to place dyes on armor. The last I've seen is that they still want to add dye to armor, but it's a low priority.

I wish there was an option to increase the day length even further on the console!I'd love to be able to set 180 or more minutes per day!
Would that be possible for you? You would make us very happy :)
You mean like a 24h- 24h cycle? 🤣
I actually have yet to try out the 2.0 version properly.

No, absolutely not!
You're just extremely limited on console with the values you can use for DayNightLength.
Unfortunately, it's not as nice as it is on PC, so I just wanted to know if there are any plans to fix this for console players,
so you can also use higher values for DayNightLength to make crossplay work!

What's annoying is that Redbeardt fixed the armor dye issue with his Dyeable mod, allowing you to dye armors again. It worked until v2.0 broke it.

So basically TFP broke armor dyes with v1, and then broke Redbeardt's fix with v2, and with v2.1 have made things even worse by making it even more difficult (if not impossible) for a modder to fix.

Like... WHY. 🤦‍♂️
