and hopefully a remastered version of the old models would be nice. They could replace the colored zombies. I'm not a big fan.
They already did the old models once i dont think they are going to do it again.

And colored zombies? You mean like the ones in bright clothing? I mean i agree but I dont mind it. I hope one day we get more generic zombies and a few new tough Zombies

I'm referring to the old models that haven't been updated and have been removed or replaced, such as the football player or the cowboy.

By colored zombies, I mean the orange ones, as I call them, and the blue ones. I think they could be replaced with some kind of mutated model or something that makes sense with their abilities. I never liked them; when they all get together at night, it looks like a carnival. I think the irradiated green ones are enough.
 
@faatal So 2.5 EXP (which will include stuff that might have been in 2.6 also) might be released on, or around my Birthday... What a nice gift from the TFP team... Thank you guys!!!
That's exactly the process they used to pick the date... not silly things like technical stuff or internal logistics! 🧐

Yes. There are actually a large amount of date changes when making a game. Most are not made public. Every week someone does not get to or finish something and it gets pushed to next week.

For example, the Unity 6 update I have told the team fall, then Oct, Nov, Dec and today it came up with one of the other programmers and I revised to Jan with trying to get 2.5 exp and stable in Dec. I don't want to be mixing U6 assets in trunk with 2.x releases that are on U2022.

Stuff happens. There was a dedi optimization today for loading models and I talked to the programmer who made it, as I thought it would remove colliders we need. I guess we discussed it a while ago and thought it would work. I tested and it did remove them and made errors, so he disabled it for now and may look at again in U6.

I expect there to be a 2.6, but it depends on what is left after 2.5 as I know of several features that could go 2.6 or 3.0.
I love it when you talk to me like this, Faatal 😍🥰 So there won't be a 2.7? Could you keep adding features while polishing 3.0 so you don't have to rework it long after release? And maybe you'll save time on major elements and mid-level gameplay, and perhaps more tweaks to certain systems, reworks here and there, and lots of bug fixes :p :p
Maybe technical work like more chunk loaded in option, optimisation, better physique for véhicule, and for the game engine, learn more ? :p (some people are worryed about New bug) and maybe rtx? My dream lol, and rework skin and basic animation zombie wich they are buged for some of them, love on tfp

Will it help with performance? Add things to the game that would not have been possible with U2022? Other features?
I don't really know yet. Most Unity updates, fix bugs, improve the editor and provide access to new features that may or may not be useful.

Most Unity updates from one major LTS version to the next major one take less than a day. Sometimes you have to switch some bits of code using any Unity functions they deprecated to new names. More time is spend reimporting the whole project and then testing a variety of features and a build, so you can say, cool, it works.

There could be a 2.7, but we would not know if we need it and what it would contain, until we see how all these features turn out and how long they take and what more we decide to do.

We are always working to improve the game. Just like I have some changes for AI destroy area I am working on this week, where AI will be able to share areas to attack and covering more combined area, instead of each AI always doing their own block scan.

I mean if you think about it any zombie can be native American. They could have some in them lmao.

But in terms of looks. Nothing screams native American like the old model. I got nothing wrong with it tho. Just kinda wonder what happened

I run a server with friends and have hordes 40+ Zombies on Blood moon nights. Having less AI checks means more CPU free SO MORE ZOMBIES!!!
Also how scary to the thought of having zombies seeing a Door entry as a high priority and another block attack as a flank entry.

Love when the zombies become more of a threat!!!

To me it looks like exactly the same Native American model as before, except with a shirt, wearing a cowboy hat instead of a bandana, and without the obviously Native American necklace. Same face, same long hair, and same body (from what I can see).

It's not like Native Americans aren't ranchers or cowboys, especially in rural Arizona. That's how most Native American ranchers or farmers dress.
 
Be careful what you wish for...might end up with some stripper trader Rekt action...I put in a "Trader Rekt from 7 days to die in stripper clothes" on Leonardo AI just to taunt you with...and this is what it spit out for me...interesting take lol
