PC V2.0 Storms Brewing Dev Diary

Well sick of it or not...AI is just going to become more and more prevalent in games, advertising, media and "news", in the next 5-10 years you will not know its its AI or not. Hell you can use AI now to write basic mods for games including this one that function...

I use AI to generate voices to read my short stories I publish online. I can't afford to hire quality voice work and having the AI read the story in 2-3 sentence sections keeps it from sounding weird or making obvious mistakes! I get different decent voices, male and female that match my stories and it works out. Have been messing with including AI voice lines in my solo Unity Project for random townspeople chats and responses...

Now if I could, I would hire Jeffrey Combs, Patrick Stewart and Morgan Freeman to read and narrate all my stories and game lol.

Also I hope we get too see the new plauge spitter and frostclaw models too I'm sick of Mr yeti
Whole heartedly agree...that's the kind of stuff I am waiting for before playing again. It would be nice just to be told basic things like: These are the features we are working on for 2.5, we hope to get these models in the game with 3.0 (for example). and then actually make it happen or tells us it needs to be pushed back...basic communication...across the mediums that they post on. It's ridiculous that asking for THAT turns into a knife fight on this forum.

I don't have any problems with them having fun doing a quick AI video clip like that. It lets them do something funny without spending more than a couple of minutes doing it compared to spending time making it themselves, which would be a waste of time. Now, I do agree that using AI to write things for you, such as for posting on the forum or to generate text in a game is not good. But for something that's clearly intended to just be for fun, I have no problems with it. There are valid uses of AI and invalid uses of AI. Being upset about all uses of AI isn't going to get you very far because it isn't going away.

I use AI to generate captions for my tutorial videos. I'll go through and fix errors and that text is made from what I said in the videos, so it's not generating unique content, but it does save me a lot of time typing it all out. No reason that is a problem. I also make a lot of AI images and have made a few AI video clips as well. Those I do for fun. Again, nothing wrong with that. I've even made a few poems and short story scenes for fun with it. Again, not a problem. It's just for fun.

I hope that third-person perspective is optional, for me it would take away all the charm and immersion that the first-person camera gives you.
I just don't think in terms of animations the game would look good enough for a 3d person. Like melee attacks being the same but I could be wrong.

Ill play around with it but I'll be doing first person
