LMAO love it, was so freaked out when it happened! Great surpriseYes. Surprise!
So you guys gave the zombies a storm kink. Got itEasy, zombies wander around (or do nothing) when they are not stimulated. Being pushed by winds stimulates them like seeing or hearing or smelling does or you hitting them does.
Were those stumps with honey in them? Would make sense!@faatal Are the desert spitter bugs suppose to occassionally come out of tree stumps and attack? I have had this happen twice now with the newest update, lol scarred the hell out of me!!
@faatal I have a request. Could you add a way to force RWG maps to have only mountain borders or only water borders (and/or mixed)?
Currently I think that borders depend on the seed, so it's a gamble.
There are several reasons for this request:
1.Only mountain borders are awesome and cozy.
2.Only Water borders are also awesome and give a nice island feeling.
3. To not having water in such an easily predictable place is a nice gameplay option (walking to the border for easy drinks). Not that it really matters, as there are dozens of drinkable spots on the map even with no lakes or rivers.
4.Mountain border base!
Yes, I sometimes spend literal hours looking for a map with the borders I like, that's why I made this request. It's a bother to have to make it by hand so it would be very nice to have.Just keep trying different seeds until you find one that does what you want. Each seed has a different border configuration. I will tune my rwg settings then go progressively through seeds starting with a, b, c... etc til I get the borders I want.
Also found this out: in Line biome configuration it orders the biomes from least percentage to greatest percentage. I hate my snow biome touching my desert so I ordered them Snow, Pine forest, burnt forest, desert, wasteland.
My thoughts on storms is you are being hit by blasting winds and debris. Picture a hurricane. A torch or campfire is not helping that. Underwater would be fine, except you have to stick your head up to breath.
I would not even mind block damage, except it would make a mess of the world and probably have high overhead, so it would need to be selective. Landclaim? You could just remove it to avoid the damage or run off so the chunks are not loaded. Possibly damage only close to each player.
Ha! Just had that happen to me. I came straight here to comment on it. I was saved by remembering to whack the swarm rather than try to run away, or shoot it. Sneaky @faatal !Yes. Surprise!
I think this would be the best case. Storm breaking blocks would just decay pois and if they don't get damaged then people would just live in pois.if it summoned more zombies you would be rushing to fight for your life et
Feel like the word 'experimental' should have been included after Storm's Brewing. Can totally see how this would give people the impression that stable is out.Someone might want to tell the social media manager that the wording of their tweet can cause confusion on when the stable is dropping.
In alpha 17 and below weather was kind of interesting. Especially when you went into the dessert or the snow. You’d burn your hunger and hydration really fast as well as get slowed down from “heat stroke” or the cold and get debuffed so your attributes were lowered. It added a sense of urgency to get well equipped to survive in whichever biome you were in. Also made well insulated a must have. Can you explain how hot/cold was NOT a boring implementation, in comparison to storms? With hot/cold it was "wear the right clothes or get debuffs". That's pretty much it, in your own words ;-).
Also it seems with the storms there are more options available (most of them the same as you could use with hot/cold): Get into a POI, or build a hut or understand, or use healing potions and weather it out, or flee to another biome.
Also there is the new thing now that zombies run faster when there is a storm!!! That is certainly something new.
Eventually I hope we get a few drinks and candies (EDIT: and weapon mods like Sapeint6 suggested) that protect **partly** from storms. And there could be more: Random chance for zombies to freeze in a snow storm, random chance for them to get picked up and thrown around in a storm. Hot/cold doesn't seem to provide possibilities like this
Thanks. But I think the original drop rate (before the patch) was appropriate. Because the contents of the bags are also strong.
They’re strong… but also they got nerfed/ changed in 2.0. It seems they changed the loot pool for them because you get more like random junk like mechanical parts and nails which seem to replace the ammo portion of the loot bag which… yeah nah for as rare as they are it can feel underwhelming to get 5 nails, some mechanical parts and a can of food. I think 5 percent was okay… 4 percent might be better? but the old drop rate felt way too low.Thanks. But I think the original drop rate (before the patch) was appropriate. Because the contents of the bags are also strong.
That's funny I hope they add bee hives to pois and stuff as a trapYes. Surprise!
4 more days! Before I look like the plauge spitter in terms of skin and I never shave
Could be because they might release it tomorrow and surprise everyone.
