Christmas Is Coming includes more than 140 new deco blocks, workstations, lamps, powered lights, neon lights, crops, ingredients, foods, drinks, weapons, hats, safe storage and much more, all inspired by Christmas. It also includes Christmas music played by musical elves, custom sounds, tweaks to some vanilla features, , world loot, air drops, game events, world decorations and much MUCH more!.

- Many different powered lights in different models and styles. 

- Many different lights that do not require power, candles, Christmas lights and whatnot.

- Many different Christmas decorations: Christmas trees with light that can be turned on/off, Christmas neon lights, animated Christmas lights, a big Christmas table, plushies, toys and much more.

- Musical elves: Control this musical device with your remote, switch between 7 different instrumental royalty free Christmas music or turn it off.

- Christmas foods and drinks: Can be switched between a decorative block and a consumable item simply by placing the item on any surface, or picking up the decorative block.

- A lot of new secure lockable Christmas storage: Christmas presents in many different shapes and colors, Christmas socks that you can hang on your fireplace or a wall, Santa slides and whatnot.

- A lot of Christmas wall decorations. Everything can be placed on top of any surface, at any height (half blocks, 3/4 and whatnot) and can be rotated however you want. 

- New Christmas crops that you can harvest for new ingredients and materials. You can find them wild in the snow biome, and also cultivate them back home on farm plots. No replanting required.

- Several new workstations, including a custom cozy Fireplace.

- New ingredients and materials for cooking and crafting: Christmas Chocolate, Marshmallow Folk, Giant Ginger cookies, Christmas balls and more.

- New Christmas hats: Santa Hat and Reindeer ears in different colors, for both player and zombies, all of them have different armor bonuses so you can get full armor bonuses while wearing them. Like other stuff included in the mod, craftable in Gingerbread Workshop, unlocks the same as vanilla armor. Included a "primitive" variant of the Santa Hat, craftable in backpack, so you can be fancy and stylish from day one.

- New world decorations and loots: Some of them can be found in all biomes, but others are more abundant or exclusive for the snow biome. From wild crops, to harvestable deco, to Christmas presents, and even some evil snowmen that might be hiding some good loot for those brave enough to destroy them.- Santa is in town and He gave some nice hats to some of the zombies.

- New weapons: The candy knife and candy club are back and craftable, unlocks the same as vanilla hunting knife and baseball bat.

- New air drop supply: This Christmas air drop supplies might look and sound a bit different.

- New custom Christmas sounds for UI and various player actions and events

- Custom high quality icons for everything included in the mod, I hope you like them.

Everything included in the mod is craftable, many things can also be found in loot or by harvesting decoration blocks in the snow biome, and some of the stuff can also be purchased from the traders.

The included images show only a small fraction of all the content included, there is too much stuff to show everything here 😋.

You can find all the stuff included in the mod if you type "sonjacc" without quotations in any search box in the UI (workstations, creative mode and whatnot). 

You can adjust how much Christmas blocks spawns in the world by tweaking the values include in the file biomes.xml. Higher numbers means more stuff, lower numbers means less stuff. If for some reason you do not want any Christmas blocks spawning in the world you can safely delete the biomes.xml and blockplaceholders.xml. If you do not want Christmas stuff available in the traders you can safely delete the traders.xml file.

100% compatible with all my other mods. Support included for my "grab your storage" mod. Compatible with most variants of the "craft from containers" mod.

Known issues (version 1.0.0:

1- If you take a look to the console or logs, you will notice some yellow warnings. Do not worry, you can safely ignore them, they have no repercussion at all on how the mod works. I did not have the time to clean some stuff before releasing the mod, I will do that together with the first update, just so you do not get the warnings. But like I said, please ignore them. 

2- The neon lights included in the "Neon Christmas Tree" can be a bit erratic sometimes, when you first place it. If you do not see the neon lighting up after being placed, powered, and turned on, just pick it up and place it again and connect it again. 

Frequently asked questions: 

1- Is your mod compatible with X, Y or Z mod? : Yes, this mod should be  compatible with the vast majority of other mods. Mods that indiscriminately delete big parts of vanilla game xml, specially in progression.xml or recipes.xml might cause problems. In that case rename my mod folder to make it load after the offending mods, so the edits made by the mod remain unchanged. That should solve most incompatibility problems. 

2- Can the mod be used server side only?: No. Since it includes custom assets, the mod needs to be installed in both the server and players computer for multiplayer game. if you play solo instead of multiplayer then you install the mod as usual. 

3- Will you add X, Y or Z to the mod?: I am always open to suggestions or requests 🥰.

Since the mod seems to be working well and it seems there are no major issues or bugs, I am releasing this small update now, with some small tweaks and fixes, I hope you like it! 💜

UPDATE 1.1.0

- The gift boxes found inside some snowmen can now be opened with lockpicks, or reducing hp to zero, like any other "secure loot" in the vanilla game. Once looted you can destroy them to get a free custom player storage that you can place back in your base if you want.

- Stags will now have a silly bright red nose, like proper Reindeers.

- Reduced the craft time for some of the materials

- Added some nice custom UI icons for the workbenches.

- Adjusted the colliders and size of the Christmas airdrop, so it will be easier to interact with the box even if it lands in weird angles. 

- Fixed Christmas Cookies not showing the health damage when consumed.

- Fixed Description for the Christmas Hats entries in the Crafting Skills window. 

- Improve compatibility with Rebirth. Christmas is Coming was already compatible with Rebirth, but I have reworked the progression files and item stats for the Christmas Hats to make them equivalent to the Rebirth armor, and make them unlock at the same levels, and edited loots, some recipes and trader items to fit Rebirth. These changes only apply for those of you using Rebirth. So if you use Rebirth, Christmas is Coming is now even better integrated with it than before, but Rebirth IS NOT required to play the mod.

Hi! I hope you all are having a very nice Christmas. 


I have decided to add this picture, to show how the "cozy fireplace" works. I thought it was very easy to figure out but it seems it can be slightly confusing.

To activate the "cozy fireplace" mode in the "classic fireplace" simply choose the "cozy fireplace" recipe in the chemicals category. Then go ahead like with any cooking recipe.

The difference is, it does not require any ingredients, and it is very easy to keep it going for as long as you want for no cost.

I got a question from a player, and I think it is useful information so I will share the answer here: 

"Is it possible to disable the "HOHOHO" sounds when looting end loot chests?"

Yes, it is possible and easy. It seems that some other mods "extend" (or "reuse") than same sound for other containers, so, while the initial intention of the change was to only hear Santa in end loot if you have one of those other mods installed that same sound could be used many many MANY times and get annoying really fast. 

So here is how you revert those sounds to normal: 

1- Open my mod folder. Inside it you will see a folder called "Config". Open that folder. 

2- Inside "Config" you will see many files, but you only need to worry about one, "sounds.xml". 

3- Open "sounds.xml" with any text editor, for example notepad or notepad++.

4- Delete these lines I mark in color. Those lines are at the very beginning of the file, so it is impossible to miss.

5- Save.

And you are done. Do not worry, everything else will work fine. 

Anyway, if someone is not confident enough to delete those lines manually I will also update the mod in a way that handles the sounds different, to prevent this problem this weekend.
