@LostBoy
I assume you are on a pc, and you are the administrator. If so you can try this to see if your actual pc profile's
security level has been corrupted.
Right click on the boot.config file goto properties security
left click on administrators all should be checked except special permissions
left click on users all should be checked except special permissions
Got to control panel
User Accounts
Your account that you log in with should say Local Account
Administrator
password protected
Another check that can actually be done after looking at the base account rights is
right mouse click on the 7dtd folder
left click on administrators all should be checked except special permissions
left click on users all should be checked except special permissions
If all of this is correct then right click on the 7daystodie.exe and select run as administrator
first attempt to run the game in this mode to see if you get the same message if it runs it means that
there may be a corrupt profile. In that case the safest thing to do is
Create a new logon to the pc do not delete the old one at any time
When you create the logon profile make sure to assign it
full rights and administrative rights
log of present logon
and log back in under the new administrative profile, and attempt file verification and try to run the game.
If you can then it means that you local profile may have corruption in its rights.
If it does not work then this is the most I could suggest at the moment.
