Update Dedicated Server from A17.4 to A18

Hi all,

i have an Running A17.4 Server and want to upgrade it to A18.

I know all is lost :)

But how can i update it correctly?

Thx for the help :)

Hope iam right here to ask

I this the only command i need?

app_update 294420 -beta latest_experimental

Clean install.

i.e. Scorched earth. Delete everything, mods, config, saved games everything. all of it. (backup your configs so you can copy settings over) There are some new lines in the serverconfig.xml I believe.

Download the A18 and you will have the best chance of stable install. Nothing from legacy buggering it up.

How do i became the right Version? Also the A18?

Installation

Install SteamCMD

Start SteamCMD

Log in with a Steam account :Subject to the availability of the game on the accounts

Select install folder: force_install_dir c:\SteamCMD\7_Days_to_Die_server\

Run: app_update 294420 to download 7 Days to Die Dedicated Server Alpha

While its in experimental you can only access with:

app_update 294420 -beta latest_experimental
