Upcoming 2.5 update and Jars

Hi,

Long time player who just saw the announcement for the 2.5 Survival Revival Update and interested in coming back.

I noticed jars will be one-time use as a way to balance gameplay. I understand you don't want people swimming in jars, but there has to be a better way.

Would it be possible to have it so that instead of being one time use, they are tied to a damage mechanic? This would apply to empty jars as well as full...

Hear me out in this example: I'm in the early end-game. I'm adventuring far from my established base, using a motorcycle to get around fast. I've got about 10 glass bottles full of that sweet sweet H₂O sitting in the saddlebag and I'm keeping 2 bottles on my person. I take my eyes off the road for a second, hearing a strange rumble coming from the front tire around the right shock absorber. Look up and I see a zombie has wandered into my path. I crash through him and he's blown to pieces. My ride takes the brunt of the hit, but I'm okay. Pull off to the side of the road to examine the damage.

So here's the idea part: Because of that crash, behind the scenes some dice rolls happened. How in depth they are, don't know, do we want to take speed into account? Size of what we hit? Or do we just care that damage was inflicted. But all those occupying jars in the holdster bag, well they got very jostled in the hit so they are doing some old fashioned saving throws to see if they got destroyed in the collision.

Same idea player damage. Fighting a zombie and he hits you, you have some jars on you (full or empty doesn't matter, did that zombie hit you and dislodge something?) Small hit more forgiving roll? Big hit less forgiving roll on the save? You are adventuring and you fall from enough height to break a leg, you probably broke some jars.

In closing, in this post-apocalyptic world, I don't think the average person is treating their glassware with the same respect as Golden Age Russia (The Great - Glass Smashing)
