PC UNUSED- The Features that time forgot!

Adding a few for myself that i forgot about

Blunderbuss: ive NEVER crafted one and never plan to

Any kind of explosives: While they were effective in a16, they were nerfed in a17 and useless. i tried putting down pot mines and they do practically no damage to the hoarde zombies. I did run over a mine on accident yesterday though and it killed me..... pretty silly they do nothing to the zombies

Tablesaw: while i did craft one for the sake of crafting it, i have yet to use it since im not a huge builder

I see a few comments complaining about the use of auto turrets and the amount of ammo they use. I just mined and got a few stacks of coal and nitrate and was able to make almost 20k gun powder. I have so much gun powder its now the casings that i cant keep up with. I might have to resort to steel casings just to get ouse out of all the gun powder

Just thought of another.

Pain pills: i honestly have no idea what theyre supposed to do. every time ive used them the only thing that happens is that my water dramatically decreases. so i dont use them.

HP restore, not max HP, good in combination with Simple Bandages (only max HP restoring) to heal on early levels.

Agree with almost all above and add two things

1)Dungeons - nothing special cant be found there, not worth to die

2)perk magazines, except one that decrease trader prices, rest are only for sell

Pain pills are useful with bandages

Dungeons have destroyed numbers outside leaving maps deserted, tragic for a horde defence game!

Perk mags can be useful early doors, but yeah trader fodder

wood clubs

Grass clothes

Having a temperature "perk" because we are all too stupid to change clothes when its too hot/cold!

Beer - I don't like that the view is impaired by thatRecog - Does not work long enough to be useful

FortBites - Works only 30 seconds but the side effects last 10 minutes. Not worth it.

Rocket launcher - I'll probably blow myself up with it

Molotowcocktails - I would probably light myself on fire every time I use them and I also need the oil for repair kits.

Olympic Swimmer - Does anyone have any points at all in this perk ?
I have simmlar ones.

Beer: sight debuff, and it just lasts way to short to bother with.

Recog- Same here, actuallly most of the buff drugs are pretty bad, duration on many is too short.

Guns: Too loud, cause more problems than they solve due to aggroing the entire poi and everything in a mile outside. I never use them outside of horde night. A bow does the job just as well. I know of the silencer but even with it even the questest gun (a pistol) will still wake a entire poi after 2 shots. I do like using guns for clearing poi's at night, I fire a shot once sleepers are spawned then hide till they come to investigate then I snipe them with a bow.

Blunderbus: does anyone actually use this thing? its damage is far too low for being a single shot gun with a long-ass reload, should be doing more than the normal shotgun per pellet due to the reload time after each shot imo. Also its spread is so wide that headshoting anything requires you be bascally hugging the thing.

Cooking: Same I feel no real need to go past level 1, if I wanna make meat stews, I gather a bunch of mats and use a magazine to get it to 2, then queue up the entire batch.

Swimmer: This perk like many others in the game are just useless.

Bladed weapons and skills for it: They are crap in general compared to blunts as a weapon, only useful for butching animals. Machete especally does too low damage for a weapon that usually needs steel-tier perks to make, even more so when its the top bladed weapon and its not even as strong as a iron reinforced club you can make at level 1. Sure its a 1 damage diff, but still. Machete should be at least 28 or 30 base damage for the tier it is.

Crossbow: To loud, reloads to slow, slows you to a crawl when reloading.

Bicycle: while i generally make one, I feel its non "turbo" speed should at least be on foot sprinting speed. Mind you the vechicles in general are too slow. I mostly use them for Moving storage more than anything else.

They instantly heal 40 health, and also give 10% damage taken reduction for 2-3 mins. Its the only item in the game that heals instantly as well. However you cannot use a second one till the buff it gives you runs out, iirc it'll do nothing. Even medkits are a slow heal over time now.

Depending on how you play, you could totally run from the bloodmoon horde and focus on exploration and finding resources, focus only on killing zombies to get levels or focus on building and outsmarting zombies altogether.
You can outrun the bloodmoon horde on foot actually, without needing coffee or beer to do it. Once you move far enough away from where the initial horde spawn started, they just stop spawning. You may need to kill the dogs though as they tend to run faster than zombies.

Well dyes add a % of Damage (I think 15%) to weapons/tools just like other mods. So if you have an open mod slot add a dye to make it a bit more powerful.
Every mod adds a flat damage/block damage increase to a weapon, you'd wanna load up as many as you can into anything. Hell I even put stuff like grave digger and those types of mods in my main melee weapon just for the bonus damage, can always swap them out if I need them later.

Explosives in general lately. They are hilariously under-powered. I watched a basic zombie hit a car until it exploded last night. Blew up a bunch of terrain around it and left a small crater. The zombie flopped in to the crater, got up, dusted himself off, and said "That was surprising" and then came for my brains. And I realized zombies are blastproof.
Anything in the agility tree. It's all garbo

Anything in an offensive tree. Would be nice to have, but can't ever find a time to put points in to any of it because of needing other stuff.

Any of the armor perks because I hate armor to begin with and the perks do nothing to improve the part of them I can't stand (move speed and stamina penalties)

The quest system. Not worth the time spent running 2KM back and forth constantly.

Power attacks. They're just objectively worse than swinging your weapon normally.
I agree on the armor perks, they should be focused on reducing or removing the movement/stamina penalties entirely once its maxxed out. I rarely wear armor as well as it just slows you down way to much, when I find gets me killed more than not having armor on.

I also agree with Agility tree entirely being mostly worthless. If your using a bow and sneaking, you can stealth kill pretty much anything with 0 points spent in agility.
