Just for fun, what are the features etc that you NEVER use?

Never use:-

Beer, never been goggle eyed after one beer in my life

Cooking past lv 1 waste of points and not needed.

Farming Not needed due to abundance of food.

Vehicles other than motorbike, fastest most manouvreable and most fun.

Paint I hate painting in real life, damned if i'm doing it in a game!

Dyes Why not just put different coloured clothes in game?

There are, of course, more. What are yours?

Either ones you hate or just dont/wont use!

No right or wrong answers just interested in what the least commonly used features are.

When I was playing I never used:

Any of the drinks: they weren't needed

Bicycle, 4x4, Gyro: Minibike and Motorcycle were fine

I also never went past Bacon and Eggs: wasn't needed

Specific clothing: Duster and any clothes worked fine

Beer - because I don't melee.

Cooking past lvl 1 - agree

Farming - useful for aloe.

Vehicles - never made a bicycle, but always get a minibike before motorcycle.

Paint - don't use.

Dyes add hit points to tools and weapons.

Didnt know dyes did that.Usually have enough mods to fill slots so probably still wouldn't use, never even pick them up.

When I build something, I usually just place full blocks, as other shapes have to be crafted manually.

In Empyrion i like the option way more that you can choose the shape before placing a block, without having to craft that specific shape. (It opens up a matrix of all kind of different shapes when the user wants it, then remembert the last chosen shape)

7DtD could also implement such a selection in the extended placement menu...

There is no real gameplay advantage to have to manually craft each block-shape beforehand. Its just tedious, and potentially makes players build less creatively then.

beer/ coffee

Clothing other than armour

paint usually. i did paint one thing in my current world but it didnt go very far

Im not much of a builder so anything other than ramps, blocks, and stairs are rarely used

Gyrocopter.

I don't even know why its there. Too slow to justify it in any way.

Auto turret.

LOL who has ammo to waste on that?

Mines.

Lol wut? Why....

Everything else, I can find a use for, including better cooking, which nicely buffs at later levels if you're on a specific build.

Beer - I don't like that the view is impaired by that

Recog - Does not work long enough to be useful

FortBites - Works only 30 seconds but the side effects last 10 minutes. Not worth it.

Rocket launcher - I'll probably blow myself up with it

Molotowcocktails - I would probably light myself on fire every time I use them and I also need the oil for repair kits.

Olympic Swimmer - Does anyone have any points at all in this perk ?

What noone even thinks about, because it's so useless and obscure: Those vending machines that the player can rent at the trader. I must've played on a few dozen different servers since these exist and never have I ever seen anybody using them.

So to begin with, they should just be free instead of costing that rental fee. And then they should have - in case they don't, cuz I don't know if they do - some sort of "I am offering stuff" indicator, like a flashing light.

Rocket Launchers - More harm than good really.

Auto Turrets - Waste of ammo, time finding it and resources crafting/buying it.

Tablesaw - I rarely see it anywhere and when i do start finnicking with special blocks, i usually go with cobble, metal or concrete. Unless we will get a special station for each of the block types, but still too rare...

Blunderbuss - Yeah, it sucks...

Dynamite - I rarely blow up stuff, but when i DO blow...

Most of the food - Let's be clear, i need to sustain myself and as long as i am full i am good. The game doesn't diversify any pros with eating one thing over another apart from bigger satiation. If it's easier to craft, why should i bother?

Wasteland - Yeah i don't care much about it, place is dangerous and i got enough beef from rads in regular zones, not to mention mines...

Bicycle : Nothing more than a slow moving "Bird Feeder" for Vultures.

Yucca Juice and Coffee : Remember when they were a "must have" for Desert and Snow exploration?

Blunderbuss: I have usually found at least 1 firearm my first day or two..

Dart and Auto Turret : Prefer the Shotgun turret myself for late game defensive support

Buff Drinks and Meds : Grandpa's stuff and the Recog, Fortebites, Beer and the like last a fraction of the time that they used to and the side effects too long or too much to make them worth it.

Gyrocopter: I would get better gas mileage and better speed and control if I caught and tied 8 Vultures to a bicycle.

All foods other than Bacon and Eggs and Sham Chowder. If I find foods like Hobo Stew or Meat stew in a POI, I will take it, but otherwise ..

And for myself : MODS. Once 7Days hits Gold release, I will probably Mod the hell out of it and already have a page of notes of Great Modders and ones I want to/ must have.. BUT.. I (Myself) can't give accurate feedback to the Pimps if I dull down the broken edges with fixes from the Mod community. (That's just me)

Thanks to the Modders out there who test that important aspect and help make the past, current and future versions playable for a lot of players, but I guess somebody has to eat what the Pimps are serving pure and without spices, even if it smells like it's being served in a litter box.

Explosive weapons: just no need for them.

All of those Granpa's food/drink items: If the buff duration of those were longer, then yeah I'd use. But in their current state they are useful.

I used to do a lot of farming in A16 because I could make meat stew, which was very beneficial for the wellness stat. Not so much in A17 though. I think wellness was a good idea, though it only should go in one direction - reward the player for staying alive with more stamina/health, but don't punish him with stamina/health lower than the baseline for dying. That's what the death debuff is for, right?

I don't think I've ever used any of the temporary buff items, save for coffee. Their short duration just makes them insignificant.

Well dyes add a % of Damage (I think 15%) to weapons/tools just like other mods. So if you have an open mod slot add a dye to make it a bit more powerful.

Explosives in general lately. They are hilariously under-powered. I watched a basic zombie hit a car until it exploded last night. Blew up a bunch of terrain around it and left a small crater. The zombie flopped in to the crater, got up, dusted himself off, and said "That was surprising" and then came for my brains. And I realized zombies are blastproof.

Anything in the agility tree. It's all garbo

Anything in an offensive tree. Would be nice to have, but can't ever find a time to put points in to any of it because of needing other stuff.

Any of the armor perks because I hate armor to begin with and the perks do nothing to improve the part of them I can't stand (move speed and stamina penalties)

The quest system. Not worth the time spent running 2KM back and forth constantly.

Power attacks. They're just objectively worse than swinging your weapon normally.

Agree with all of the above other than agility tree, stealth is a lot of fun (granted rooms activate for no reason at times) generally as long as you watch sound levels it is quite effective.

Explosives are terrible atm as are power attacks

Also hating blocks/zombies that take half a dozen swings to hit when its RIGHT THERE!

Quest system soon turns into the hulkfest everything else turns into and its tedious to say the least.

Leather armour at high lvs is workable and not too much of a trade off but yeah penalties suck

Total dependance on int tree is very limiting intelligence doesnt equate to capability in the real world nor should it here....

It's not that they aren't effective. It's that I don't need agility perks to get the job done. I can already accomplish that stuff without them. They need to make it so you can't just sneak in to a room of sleepers without waking them vanilla and make pulling that off require investing in stealth.

Not to mention how the perks are totally useless for the most important event in the game. Horde night.

They are cute nice to have little bonuses. But there's way more important stuff to get.

Depending on how you play, you could totally run from the bloodmoon horde and focus on exploration and finding resources, focus only on killing zombies to get levels or focus on building and outsmarting zombies altogether.
