Unnecessary but Beautiful Mod

Well I figured out how to install the mod. It's an awesome mod. I love it.

Any plans on adding new textures to the painting system?

I dont know how to do that. Although I would love to, I can think of so many textures I could make. Anyway, the game was just updated to A18.3 and there is an issue with some objects being offset. I have fixed that ans re uploaded the mod. If you experiencie that just download it again and install it the same way.

great Job man... :) we need to see more ...
Thank you

hi there, i noticed since updating to alpha 18.3 any doors with 2 blocks wide offsets half a block to the right. its not just with doors in this mod but with other mods that have 2 blocks wide etc... like ggs windows etc... it also does it to ones that are already placed, so i guess they changed something in 7 days.... anyone have any ideas? also i have made a recipe file for all the items in this mod pack if anyone wants it, i can upload

cheers

As in, we can actually craft them in game? I've been slowly grinding away at making recipes and harvest for them and trying to figure out how to get them craft/buy & sell at the trader in our Server. If you have some part of that is what you are saying, I'm definitely interested.

Hi

Please be gentle with me. I have never added a mod to my game before and I am not really clued up on these things. I have downloaded and extracted the files for this mod but I have no idea where to put them. I cannot find a readme so I would appreciate any help. Thanks :)

First you need to create a folder named Mods in the root folder of your game. There you will copy the UnnecessarybutBeautiful Folder with all it's content, so at the end it looks like this

7 Days To Die / Mods / UnnecessarybutBeautiful

That did the trick. Many thanks for your help.

Hello!  Love the mod!  But on Nitrado I'm getting an error:

WindowsVideoMedia error 0x80070003 while reading C:/<SNIP>/7daystodie/7DaysToDieServer_Data/../Mods/UnnecessarybutBeautiful/Resources/video01.mp4

And I can't see the proper path.  IE: "7DaysToDieServer_Data/../Mods/UnnecessarybutBeautiful/Resources/"  <- the .. doesn't tell me anything except for back in DOS days that would mean go back to parent directory, but with the install that's where it should be and it is there.  So I tried putting resources where the .. is: "/Resource/ but that doesn't work lol

Yes - Please update.  Although I thought I saw that someone had either tried or will intergrate part/all of it into one of their mods... Can't find it.

For anyone wanting to get this to work on A19: You have to download the recipe file from the Nexus page. Once downloaded and installed go to the folder it is located in(should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Mods\Hernaxx's Unnecessary but Beautiful\Config"), right click the "recipes" file, select "edit" or "open with"(I just use notepad), when the screen pops up you should see the table that lists where each helper block is crafted, edit all the references from "tablesaw" to "workbench" and then save the file.

If you are playing solo just put it in your mod folder like normal, but if you are playing multiplayer you will need to make sure every player AND the server are all playing the same edit file system to avoid any issues.
