"Unique" lore zombies.

I wouldn't be against it at all, but my issue is that any enemy that you only rarely see is basically wasted effort versus an enemy you see regularly. Grace is basically non-existent in games because Grace is in only 2 vanilla POI. You can pretty much just forget that Grace exists. All the work and we rarely benefit from it. On the other hand, a new regular zombie can be seen often, making it worth far more and takes the same amount of time to implement.

That IS a good point.

How about some "unique" lore zombies? There are several locations that mention obviously important people, Dr. Karen Higashi being a notable standout. I was thinking, what if some of these people appeared as zombies in specific locations? Dr. Higashi could be a Lab Worker zombie with a unique head. Just an idea.
It WOULD be a nice idea, but my understanding is that there's some kind of limitation either on the graphics or memory size of something something (add technical mumbo-jumbo here).

That's also why to add the new zombies at the time, they had to cut the cheerleader, football player and stripper. 🤷‍♂️

Not sure if this is correct. Part of the reason they removed those was that they were poor quality and they hadn't made HD versions. They have also talked about more new zombies being considered.

Their excuse for removing the plains was something about memory space. Don't recall the exact details any more.

But yeah, the football player/cheerleader/farmer were removed because they didn't have HD versions and didn't make sense in enough places, supposedly.

I remember them saying those three were removed because they were too "location specific." The Lumberjack was then supposed to be limited to a single biome... and wasn't.

It was a pretty silly excuse. Like hazmat zombies, or lab workers wouldn't technically be limited to certain locations, too? It's just dumb. Football players and cheerleaders don't live at stadiums and highschools after all, lol.

I can't agree it's wasted effort. Wight and Screamer already have lost their "special" status. Zombie variety doesn't necessarily imply herds with different looking zombies in them. The two new "special" zombies aren't all that special, either, precisely because you do see them all the time.

It isn't so much wasted effort even though I said that. My point was that in comparison, it is of less value. I would rather see more unique zombies that I'll see regularly than one I almost never see.

I think it was because those were the old UMA variety, they updated to a more customized
config. Plus the constant please please please, add more detail and jiggle and stuff. The more
that is added the less can be rendered, to cover the broad scope of player hardware, and The S.

Personally I'd be perfectly content if they went the other direction, and Did a UEBS set of Zs made
with ****
and/or
****
and/or
****

as long as the rest of the environment and game play stayed the same.
