Unexpected kernal mode trap

Whenever I try and open 7 days to die and only 7 days to die as I've tried to open other steam games with no issue, I get a blue screen and the code is unexpected kernel mode trap that my computer resets. I had a Windows tech take control of my computer remotely and try and fix the issue to no avail. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I'm like dying to play here but it won't let me anybody have any ideas?

Try providing your log, though that might not show anything with that kind of error.  You can also look in Windows Event Viewer to see if there are any details about the crash.

I would also suggest following the steps listed on the pinned topic for resetting the game settings (reinstalling doesn't reset them) and to verify files.

A kernel trap means hardware failure, although it could be a GPU driver issue. What that bsod means in a summary is it shut itself down to prevent damage to the OS by a failing hardware/driver. Could be ram, gpu, or potentially motherboard. I've never seen it caused by bad overclocking or drivers, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.
