For the record, I'm on Firefox. Tried turning off all blocking software or anything that interferes in any way with page loading, but no luck.

That is usually a loading error and refreshing the page or using the forced refresh (hold shift while clicking the reload button) works.  I'm on mobile right now and it works here, but that doesn't mean anything as that uses different formatting.  So I can't say if there is a problem with the computer view right now.

Ctrl+F5 also does a forced refresh, for those with a keyboard-only fetish for shortcuts.  :p

It's Ctrl now?  It used to be Shift.  That is a good option as well.  In any case, I'm at home now and the forum looks fine on Chrome.

Oh yeah, I always try a forced refresh first. In this case several times and I loaded up Chrome to check in that too.

Gone now, no idea what was up.

I thought it was just F5. That's how it's always been working for me.

F5 is normal refresh.  It doesn't clear out anything, so it can often reload the same problems.  Using a forced refresh, you're doing a clean refresh of the page.  In almost all cases, this doesn't really make any difference, but there are times when it can help.  It is also possible that they've changed things in browsers to always do a forced refresh with just clicking the refresh button or using F5.  I haven't kept up on such things.  I just know that was what you would do in the past and so I still do it today.  Heh.

I remember this from the good old days when wifi was not good. This happened a lot with my Gmail when I was on a overloaded wifi or at home in a known blindspot.
How is your internet connection? Mind you,on wifi  a strong signal does guarantee an undisturbed signal.

Correct.

And FWIW, yes, most browsers still have F5 as a regular refresh, and SHIFT+F5 or CTRL+SHIFT+F5 as the full clear & reload; that hasn't really changed.

The forced refresh is supposed to make an actual server request for a refresh of the page, bypassing any caching going on between you and the server.  Using just F5 is more like a lazy refresh that may or may not take care of dirty cache issues and, depending on your network setup, may not even reach the original server.  Some company servers cache Internet pages so an F5 will just go grab it off your company server again instead of refreshing from the source server.  It's all too complicated because, well, we humans like it that way.
